      Bold Generosity Matters Scholarship
I believe generosity comes in many forms. Generosity can mean lending a hand to a loved one held dearly in your heart. Or a stranger you've never come in contact with but support indirectly via donations to charity. It can be as simple as assisting elderly women to cross the street. It can be in the form of monetary generosity by giving money to those in need as you cross them on the street. You can be generous with your time by offering up your time for a good cause or spending it with someone who'd benefit from your company. Generosity is a staple of being human. I believe most people are altruistic. There's something inside humans that moves us to help those around us. It's a tenant of many religions. We even receive a release of Oxytocin when we help others. Generous acts are touted as some of the most selfless things people can do. It requires you to place someone else's well-being above your own. I believe generosity is an extension of empathy. It's something we should all strive to incorporate into our lives. As generosity means a better world for us all. Giving something to improve the well-being of another without expecting anything in return is commendable no matter how big or small the effect. This is what generosity means to me.
