Ever since the early age of 5, I have strived for further education and Lifelong Learning. I have had to push myself constantly to get top of class in reading and math. I have spent countless hours reading alone on a couch just to improve my reading speed. I have constantly strived for academic excellence, not settling for the minimum.
Even as a child I would always go the extra mile when doing my work. I have always wanted to make a difference and strive for higher education. My dream was and still is to be a lawyer and to change the world as an entrepreneur. I believe that commitment and effort are the key to achieving that dream.
I know the path to being a lawyer is going to take a lot of commitment, I understand that. I would be willing to do whatever it takes to stand out and succeed. That is why it is so important now to study and to prepare myself for college. Applying for scholarships just like this one, Taking AP and Honors classes.
Once when I was in 8th grade I was really struggling with my math class. It was all so confusing and it just didn't make sense to me anymore, I'm sure this has happened to multiple people as well not only myself. I was stuck and the teacher wouldn't stop to help me understand. I didn't know what I was supposed to do and I just felt like giving up.
The term was almost ending and grades were almost due. It felt like I couldn't do anything about it. It was at that moment I realized there was still someone that could help me. I knelt down and prayed, I thought I would immediately understand it but I got no response.
I decided it was best to just go to school and maybe pray again. As soon as my math teacher started teaching it all clicked. I understood it all perfectly. It felt almost magical, the answer was so clear but I hadn't been able to understand it until that moment. That term I got an A- in my math grade.
Although it wasn't perfect I was happy I had understood and was thankful for God's help. I have worked hard, I still work hard, and I will continue to work hard until I finish my mission of changing the world for the better, I hope you can help with that.
