Bio

"Work hard, Play harder" This saying has guided me since the age of 12. It was at that age when I wanted to buy my first expensive item. It was a remote-control truck in case you're wondering but it would cost me $500. I had never had that much money before, so it felt very far away. I decided the way to go was lawn mowing and yardwork however I quickly found that everyone wanted weeding done instead of my preferred tasks. If you have ever weeded before you know it is terrible. Throughout the summer I weeded and weeded for multiple people in my neighborhood charging just $10 an hour. Halfway through the summer, I had enough money to buy that RC car. From that point on I knew I had to work for what I wanted and not expect handouts. Over the past years, I have worked very hard to snowboard, mountain bike, dirt bike, fish, and more! I also have put in the work in school and kept my cumulative GPA above 3.7. I struggled for a long time to decide what I wanted to do in life. Some people told me that it was ridiculous to make my hobby my career, and some told me that I need to choose the highest-paying occupation/degree at the expense of my happiness. I believe that with my entrepreneurial mindset, I can make my hobby into my career. So, I have decided to pursue forestry and agriculture with a major in forestry or ecology. I hope to be part of protecting Natural Resources and be involved in the timber harvest industry. As a four-year member of the FFA, I hope to stay involved and help kids like me decide what they want to do in agriculture.
