I am a mother of three with a child with special needs. My son Jayden was diagnosed with autism when he was 2 years old, and he is now 5 years old. The lack of resources in my community has been detrimental to his development. I’ve spent the last few years advocating for him and waiting on waiting lists for services to help him to no avail. I’ve decided to return to school to gain as much knowledge as possible, to help not only my son but also other children in my community. My goal is to earn my degree in Psychology and eventually become a Certified Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist.
