At UNR, I am striving for a biomedical engineering degree and I plan for this degree to fulfill my curiosity with the technological developments in health care. Whether that encompasses new medications, or equipment, I would hope to be involved in inventions that will better the lives of people with conditions that are still a mystery. I plan for this degree to lead me to medical school, and be able to use my background in biomedical engineering in the health field I am wanting to pursue. The certain field I would like to go into continuously changes, such as wanting to be a Reproductive Endocrinologist, to pursuing the field of Oncology. I am certain that I want to pursue a career in which I am able to alleviate the stress and pain someone is going through, and let them know that they are not alone in their journey. To know that I was able to help someone in a hard place in their life, and help them find hope would be the most benefitting aspect of my career. In five years after completing the worthwhile journey in my education, I see myself making a difference because I know in the career I pursue, my heart and mind will be 100% invested. I additionally see myself doing something I love, and therefore I will continue to contribute my abilities, and continue learning in the growing field of health care.
