My life goals are to pursue a career in zoology and wildlife, specifically working on studying animals in their natural environments and applying new information in schools and education worldwide, while also allowing people to further understand animals and to stop causing harm to habitats and the animals themselves.
I am a great candidate because of my persistence. I work very hard to achieve any goals that I have in my life and I always find a way to bounce back and make the biggest impact in order to succeed.
I have already been accepted to Eckerd and USF, but I lack the financial ability I need in order to fully provide myself if I choose to live on campus of either college. Some tuition costs are also in need of payment.
Harry Potter is one of my favorite novels, series, and movie series of all time. I have a complete collection of all the books including collectors items such as wands, the golden snitch, and legos. Some of these items are also a Marauder’s Map and a mint condition pack of the original 3 Harry Potter movies. My favorite quotes from Harry Potter are both made by Albus Dumbledore. “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”, and “It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.”

Almost any kid asks for a cat or a dog for a pet. Kids will want a pet because they have this curiosity and wonder of what having a pet is like. Kids also always want to go to the zoo and see the animals and feed them. For me, I was always curious of what having a pet was like. I was the kind of kid that wanted to live at the zoo and learn everything I can about the animals at the zoo. I have had been to multiple zoos, but one of the more impactful experiences was when I was incredibly young and at a ranch. This was something I had not remembered, but my parents had always remembered the story. We were at a ranch and wanting to go on a horseback ride, but there was a bit of difficulty with one of the horses. A large, mature, adult male horse was unsettled and would not calm down. The handlers tried feeding it, brushing it, everything, but nothing worked. My parents were trying to make sure that we didn’t get too close and that is when they realized that I was a few feet away from the horse and the handlers. Before my parents could get to me, the horse saw me and stopped fighting. The horse had bent its head down level to me and the handlers let me pet and brush the horse. Although I have no recollection of this story, this is one of the reasons I know that a career with animals is want I want to do. I have a unique connection with animals that I am unable to explain, but it sparks this curiosity and desire to know more about animals.
My future involves a major in zoology and wildlife studies. I wish to travel the world and study animals, but teach people more about animals. Many people in the world are often exposed to bad things about animals and how they are dangerous. People say that animals should be locked away in cages, they are good for nothing but food and hides, and they are only good for trophies. People destroy their habitats for their greed and desire to only make themselves better. Animals know how to protect themselves, but they still need someone to protect them from the threats that they never expect. My desired career is entirely unique because of my desire to learn about animals and their habits, along with their habitats in order to protect them. People need to know that animals deserve their lives just as much as we do, that they are something more than just food and disgusting creatures, and that they are not just another animal to turn into a trophy. The animals of the world deserve protection. My concern is that nobody will see it within themselves in the future to actually protect them. I want to show the world that animals are good. If people in the world are saying that animals are bad and are not better than us, I will do everything I can to show them just how good animals really are.
