The Ode to Millennials-Gen Z paints a portrait of a generation at the crossroads of history, echoing the challenges faced by the Greatest Generation that emerged from the Great Depression and World War II. The spiritual effects highlighted in this ode revolve around a "rendezvous with destiny," a phrase that implies a profound and transformative encounter with the future. The older generation's struggle to accept the evolving role of Millennials-Gen Z, described as "our children are our elders in-universe time," reflects a spiritual shift in understanding generational dynamics. There's an acknowledgement that today's youth are responsible for shaping the future, even as the older generation grapples with the need to relinquish control and allow the newer generation to define their own path. The parallels drawn between the economic hardships of the Great Depression era and the challenges Millennials-Gen Z face highlight a spiritual resilience that transcends material circumstances. As the Greatest Generation did, accepting burdens gracefully suggests a spiritual maturity and a sense of duty towards a greater societal good. The ode also touches upon the disconnect between generations, such as the older generation's perplexity at the communication preferences of Millennials-Gen Z, exemplified by the shift from written letters to phone calls and now to a preference for other forms of digital communication. This disconnect is a metaphor for the broader challenge of understanding and bridging the gap between worldviews and values. The acceptance of contemporary challenges, from economic struggles to the impact of climate change, reveals a spiritual resilience within Millennials-Gen Z. Despite inheriting a world fraught with issues, there is an underlying optimism and eagerness to engage with life. The question "Do they know something that we older folks missed?" suggests a recognition of a wisdom or perspective inherent in the younger generation that could offer solutions or insights not apparent to their predecessors. The polite and kind nature attributed to Millennials-Gen Z, juxtaposed with the resentment of the older generation, underscores a potential spiritual evolution towards empathy and understanding. The call of duty, framed within the context of addressing issues like global warming and economic inequality, becomes their "rendezvous with destiny." The ode concludes with a bold prediction: this generation will rise to the occasion and become "The Greatest Generation 2.0." This assertion carries a hopeful and spiritual undertone, envisioning a future where the youth transcend challenges and embody greatness through resilience, kindness, and a sense of duty.

In the intricate tapestry of my life, the intertwining threads of socioeconomic adversity have woven a profound narrative of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to uplift my community and school. Coming of age in a family marked by modest means, alongside three other siblings, has shaped my personal beliefs and propelled me toward a future where I aspire to stand as a beacon of transformative change. The impact of socioeconomic adversity is not a distant theoretical concept for me; instead, it manifests as a lived experience that has intricately influenced every facet of my journey. My beliefs, relationships, and future plans are intricately interwoven with the overarching mission to be an agent of positive change in the face of formidable challenges. As I navigate the path forward, I carry the lessons gleaned from adversity, transforming them into a driving force propelling me towards a better future for my family and the broader community.

Growing up in a family of limited financial means, with three other siblings and a mother unable to work outside the home, the dream of attending college seemed elusive. However, my fervent desire to serve as a pastor has driven me to seek avenues to overcome these challenges and contribute meaningfully to society. Pursuing a degree in theology is my way of equipping myself with the knowledge and skills needed to address the spiritual needs of individuals and build a stronger, more connected community. Arthur and Elana Panos Scholarship
In the tapestry of my life, the thread of faith has woven a narrative that transcends time and circumstance. From the earliest days, I've clung to the belief in a higher power, placing my trust in God and my lord, Jesus Christ. Their blessings have adorned my journey, yet their presence became profoundly undeniable during a pivotal moment of rescue. The setting was my middle school years—a phase marked by the awkward transitions of adolescence and a growing disconnect from the church. This estrangement sprouted from general distrust towards others and disillusionment with the impersonal, mega-church-style ministry that dominated my spiritual landscape. Lost in the maze of my questions, I stumbled upon a group of friends whose spiritual compass pointed in a different direction—towards Paganism. Intrigued and perhaps seeking solace in unconventional places, I allowed their perspectives to seep into my life, distorting the foundations of my faith and guiding me further down a perilous path. At the darkest bend of this labyrinth, God reached out to rescue me in His infinite mercy. His intervention was a life-altering opportunity: my father's job relocation to Michigan. A move that, like a sudden gust of wind, swept me away from the toxic environment that threatened to engulf me. I found a reset in the displacement—a chance to rediscover my spiritual footing. Michigan unfolded before me as a canvas, and within its borders, I encountered a church family that defied the conventions of impersonality. Their fellowship was deeply personal, a lifeline thrown to a drifting soul. Through their support, my faith found renewed strength, and the fragmented pieces of my beliefs were meticulously reassembled. This transformative experience, this divine rescue, has etched a purpose into the fabric of my existence. It is a purpose that transcends personal salvation—an aspiration to honour the grace that plucked me from the abyss. As I reflect on my journey, I discern a calling echoing through the corridors of my soul—a call to ministry. In embracing this divine summons, I desire to become a conduit of God's love and redemption. My life's narrative, shaped by moments of vulnerability and triumphant rescue, is a testament to the boundless mercy that weaves through our stories. My ultimate goal is to leverage my experiences to extend a hand to others navigating their intricate labyrinths, to fortify their faith, and to guide them towards a deeper, more profound relationship with the divine. As I embark on this journey into ministry, I carry with me the echoes of my past, transformed into a melody of hope and redemption. It is a melody that resonates not only in the sanctuary of my heart but one that I aspire to compose in the lives of those I am called to serve.

Music has the remarkable ability to transcend boundaries and touch our souls in profound ways. Throughout history, music has been a catalyst for emotional expression, cultural exchange, and personal growth. For me, the art of singing has not only helped me to focus and find solace, but it has also served as an outlet for my creativity. In this essay, I will explore how music, specifically singing, has shaped my perspective of the world. In a fast-paced and chaotic world, it can be challenging to find moments of peace and clarity. However, when I immerse myself in the world of music, particularly through singing, I experience a profound sense of focus. The act of vocalizing melodies and lyrics allows me to enter a state of flow, where the worries and distractions of everyday life fade away. The process of learning and perfecting vocal techniques requires concentration and discipline, fostering a sense of mindfulness and presence. Music acts as a therapeutic medium, enabling me to detach from the stresses of the world and redirect my attention toward self-expression and self-improvement. Singing has been my outlet for creativity, providing a canvas on which I can paint my emotions and experiences. Through music, I have discovered the power to convey feelings that words alone cannot adequately express. Whether it is the joy of a lively tune or the melancholy of a soulful ballad, music enables me to tap into a spectrum of emotions and communicate them to others. Each song becomes a story waiting to be told, a window into my thoughts and aspirations. Moreover, music has expanded my cultural horizons, as I explore diverse genres and experiment with different vocal styles. Accounting for Change Scholarship
Accounting has always intrigued me with its precise calculations, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make sense of complex financial data. As I delve deeper into my exploration of this discipline, my interest in becoming an accountant, particularly in the field of non-profit accounting, has only intensified. This essay aims to shed light on why I am drawn to accounting and why accountants play a vital role in businesses and the broader public, with a specific focus on the importance of non-profit accounting. One of the primary reasons I am keen on pursuing a career in accounting, specifically non-profit accounting, is the growing need for professionals in this field. Non-profit organizations play a crucial role in addressing societal issues, advocating for the less fortunate, and driving positive change. However, despite the increasing significance of non-profit organizations, there seems to be a scarcity of individuals interested in pursuing accounting careers within the non-profit sector. This gap presents an opportunity for me to make a meaningful contribution to the organizations that strive to improve our communities. Accountants, both within the for-profit and non-profit sectors, are instrumental in ensuring financial stewardship and transparency. However, in the realm of non-profit accounting, their role becomes even more critical. Non-profit organizations often rely heavily on donor contributions, grants, and public funding to sustain their operations and fulfill their missions. Accountants in this sector must navigate a complex web of financial regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance standards to guarantee the appropriate use and allocation of funds. By upholding transparency and maintaining accurate financial records, non-profit accountants build trust with stakeholders and assure that resources are used ethically and efficiently. Non-profit organizations aim to address societal challenges and make a positive impact on people's lives. However, without effective financial management and accountability, their noble missions can be compromised. Non-profit accountants play a pivotal role in optimizing the impact of these organizations by providing financial insights, strategic guidance, and budgeting expertise. Through their financial analysis and forecasting, accountants empower non-profit organizations to make informed decisions about resource allocation, program expansion, and sustainability. By ensuring sound financial practices, accountants enable non-profit organizations to make the most of their resources and create a greater positive change in society. Non-profit organizations operate in a regulatory environment that demands compliance with various financial and legal obligations. Accountants in this sector are responsible for staying abreast of evolving regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. They meticulously prepare financial statements, handle audits, and ensure that the organization complies with the necessary filings and disclosures. By navigating the intricate maze of regulations, non-profit accountants safeguard the organization's reputation, prevent legal repercussions, and maintain the trust of stakeholders. Becoming an accountant, particularly in the field of non-profit accounting, is a path I am deeply passionate about pursuing. The scarcity of individuals interested in this field presents a unique opportunity for me to make a difference and contribute to the organizations striving to create positive change in our society. Accountants, both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, are crucial in ensuring financial stewardship, transparency, maximizing impact, and compliance with legal obligations. By embracing the challenges and opportunities inherent in non-profit accounting, I aspire to be part of a profession that not only supports the success of non-profit organizations but also contributes to the well-being of the broader public.

As a homeschool student, I have had a non-traditional academic experience. Unlike most students, I have not attended a conventional school setting, nor have I followed a traditional curriculum. Rather, my education has been tailored to my individual needs and interests, allowing me to pursue my academic goals in a way that works best for me. This unique approach to education has shaped who I am as a student and has driven me to do more. One of the main ways in which I stand out as a non-traditional student is by graduating a year early and going straight into college. This is not a common path for most students, but it is one that I have pursued because I am eager to continue learning and growing. By graduating early, I can jumpstart my college career and begin pursuing my academic and career goals sooner. Furthermore, I strive to go further in life than most people my age. I have always been driven to succeed and am constantly pushing myself to achieve more. This drive comes from my desire to make a meaningful impact in the world and to leave a positive legacy behind. I believe that I have the potential to achieve great things and that by working hard and staying focused, I can make a real difference in the world. Finally, I hope to be an example to my younger siblings. As the oldest of several siblings, I feel a responsibility to set a good example and to inspire them to pursue their dreams and goals. I want to show them that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible, and that they too can achieve great things. By being a role model to my siblings, I hope to motivate them to pursue their own academic and personal goals and to strive for excellence in all that they do. In conclusion, as a non-traditional student, I have had a unique academic journey that has driven me to do more and to strive for excellence in all that I do. By graduating early, pursuing my academic goals, and setting a positive example for my siblings, I hope to make a meaningful impact in the world and leave a lasting legacy behind.

    Taylor Swift ‘1989’ Fan Scholarship
Taylor Swift’s 1989 album was a cultural sensation when it was released in 2014. It was a departure from her earlier country-pop albums and embraced a more pop sound that showcased Swift's growth as an artist. My favorite song on this album is “New Romantics” because of its message of living life to the fullest and embracing the ups and downs that come with it. The song opens with the line “We're all bored, we're all so tired of everything,” which immediately resonates with me. It speaks to the feeling of being stuck in a rut and wanting something more. The chorus is where the song truly shines with the line, “Baby, we're the new romantics, come on, come along with me.” It's an invitation to break free from the mundane and take risks in life. This message of seizing the day and living life to the fullest is something that I aspire to. The lyrics of “New Romantics” also speak to the idea that failure is a necessary part of success. The line “We cry tears of mascara in the bathroom, honey, life is just a classroom” shows that everyone makes mistakes and that it's okay to stumble along the way. Swift emphasizes that life is a learning experience, and it's through failure that we grow and learn to do better. The line “I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me” reinforces this idea of resilience and turning setbacks into something positive. Additionally, the song is a celebration of individuality and embracing our differences. The line “We show off our different scarlet letters, trust me, mine is better” speaks to the idea that everyone has their own unique story and experiences. Instead of hiding these differences, the song encourages us to embrace and celebrate them. The chorus also highlights the idea that heartbreak is a universal experience. “Heartbreak is the national anthem, we sing it proudly” shows that everyone experiences heartbreak and that it's a part of life. The song encourages us to move on from heartbreak and not let it define us. The line “We are too busy dancing to get knocked off our feet” reinforces this idea that we need to keep moving forward and not let setbacks hold us back. Overall, “New Romantics” is a song that resonates with me on many levels. Its message of living life to the fullest and embracing the ups and downs is something that I strive for in my own life. The idea that failure is a necessary part of success and that heartbreak is a universal experience is a powerful reminder that we are all in this together. Additionally, the song celebrates individuality and encourages us to embrace our differences. It's a message that I believe is particularly relevant in today's world, where it's so easy to get bogged down by the negativity that surrounds us. In conclusion, “New Romantics” is my favorite song from Taylor Swift's 1989 album because of its message of resilience, individuality, and living life to the fullest. Its uplifting message and catchy melody have made it a staple in my music library and a song that I turn to when I need a reminder to keep pushing forward. The song's themes of embracing our differences and celebrating our unique stories are particularly important in today's world, where it's so easy to get lost in the noise. It's a reminder to keep dancing, even when life tries to knock us off our feet.

Starting a non-profit accounting firm that helps local charities manage their finances and also provides assistance to low-income families in Muskegon, Michigan, would be a great way to contribute to the general welfare of the local community. With the increase in charitable organizations and the need for financial management, such a business would be in high demand. The primary objective of the non-profit accounting firm would be to provide affordable accounting and financial services to local charities and non-profit organizations. These organizations often lack the resources to hire full-time accountants, and this is where our non-profit accounting firm would come in handy. By providing affordable accounting services, these charities would be able to better allocate their resources to their core objectives, whether it is feeding the hungry, providing shelter to the homeless, or educating underprivileged children. Additionally, the non-profit accounting firm would also work to assist low-income families in Muskegon. Financial literacy is an important aspect of managing one's finances, and many low-income families do not have access to the resources or education needed to manage their finances effectively. The non-profit accounting firm would provide financial education to these families, including budgeting, saving, and investing. To develop such a business, several key steps would need to be taken. Firstly, research into the local community and its needs would be essential. Understanding the needs of local charities and non-profit organizations would allow the accounting firm to tailor its services to meet their needs. Similarly, understanding the needs of low-income families in Muskegon would allow the firm to develop programs that would be most beneficial to these families. Secondly, the non-profit accounting firm would need to develop partnerships with local charities and non-profit organizations. These partnerships would be essential in providing a steady stream of clients for the firm. Building these relationships would require reaching out to these organizations, explaining the services the accounting firm can provide, and demonstrating the value they could add. Thirdly, the non-profit accounting firm would need to create a business plan that outlines its objectives, target market, services, and financial projections. A strong business plan is essential to secure funding and investors who are interested in supporting the business. The business plan would also help to keep the company focused on its goals and objectives, ensuring that it remains on track. Fourthly, the non-profit accounting firm would need to secure funding to support its operations. As a non-profit organization, the firm would need to rely on donations and grants to support its operations. Identifying potential donors and writing grant applications would be an essential part of securing funding for the business. Lastly, the non-profit accounting firm would need to hire a team of skilled professionals to manage its operations. The team would need to include qualified accountants, financial advisors, and support staff to ensure that the business operates effectively. In conclusion, starting a non-profit accounting firm in Muskegon, Michigan, that assists local charities with their finances and also provides financial education to low-income families would be a great way to contribute to the general welfare of the local community. By providing affordable accounting services to local charities and non-profit organizations, these organizations can better allocate their resources to their core objectives, while low-income families can benefit from financial education. Developing such a business would require thorough research, building strong partnerships, creating a comprehensive business plan, securing funding, and hiring a skilled team of professionals.

Movies have the power to affect us profoundly, providing us with unique perspectives on life and inspiring us to take action. For me, one movie that has had a significant impact on my life is Disney's "Encanto." The movie tells the story of the Madrigal family, who live in a magical Colombian town where each member possesses a unique power. Isabela, the eldest sister, is gifted with the ability to grow flowers, and it is her story that has resonated with me the most. Isabela is initially portrayed as the "perfect" sister, always conforming to her family's expectations and living up to her grandmother's ideal image. However, as the story progresses, we see that Isabela is burdened by the pressure of being perfect and conforming to others' expectations. This struggle is something that many people, myself included, can relate to. Growing up, I always felt the need to be perfect and live up to the expectations of my family and society, just like Isabela. However, as I grew older, I realized that the need to be perfect all the time was not only impossible but also detrimental to my mental health. Isabela's song "What Else Can I Do?" captures this sentiment perfectly. The lyrics, "What else can I do?/Tell me how to grow/What else can I do?/I'm not living up to what I'm supposed to be," speak to the pressure of living up to expectations and the desire to break free from them. These words struck a chord with me, as I have often found myself asking the same questions. The song also showcases Isabela's vulnerability and highlights the toll that living up to expectations has on her. Furthermore, Isabela's character arc also teaches us the importance of embracing imperfection. With the help of her sister Mirabel, Isabela learns to let go of her need for perfection and embrace her flaws. This message is particularly impactful in a world that often places a premium on perfection and discourages people from making mistakes. In my own life, I have learned the importance of embracing imperfection and being kind to myself. Like Isabela, I have had to let go of the need to be perfect and accept that making mistakes is a part of life. This realization has brought me a sense of freedom and has allowed me to pursue my passions without fear of failure. In conclusion, "Encanto" and Isabela's story have had a significant impact on my life. Isabela's struggle with perfectionism and her journey toward embracing imperfection has taught me valuable lessons that I carry with me to this day. The movie's message of accepting oneself and being kind to oneself is one that I believe is particularly important in today's society. "Encanto" has shown me that it is okay to be imperfect and that by embracing our flaws, we can lead more fulfilling lives.

Throughout my life, I have always strived to go above and beyond in everything that I do. This drive has led me to take on numerous challenges and responsibilities that have helped me grow as a person and make a positive impact on the world around me. One of the ways I have gone above and beyond in my life is by working to fund my own dual enrollment classes. While most high school students are content with taking standard classes, I wanted to challenge myself academically and gain an edge in my college applications. However, the cost of these classes was too high for my family to afford, so I took it upon myself to work part-time and save up enough money to pay for the classes myself. This not only allowed me to take advanced courses but also taught me the value of hard work and determination. Another way I have gone above and beyond is through my volunteer work at my church. I noticed that our church was not very inviting to newcomers, and many people who visited did not return. So, I took it upon myself to lead a team of volunteers to make the church more welcoming and hospitable. We redecorated the sanctuary, organized social events, and created a more inclusive atmosphere. As a result of our efforts, our church has seen a significant increase in attendance and a greater sense of community among its members. I have also gone above and beyond in my philanthropic efforts. I donate my time and money to Compassion International, an organization that helps provide education, healthcare, and basic needs for children in poverty around the world. I believe that it is our responsibility as global citizens to help those less fortunate than ourselves, and Compassion International allows me to make a tangible impact in the lives of others. Looking toward the future, I have a vision of providing financial and spiritual assistance to low-income communities. I believe that everyone deserves access to basic needs such as food, shelter, and healthcare, but I also recognize the importance of addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals as well. I hope to work with organizations that share this holistic approach to poverty alleviation and make a lasting impact in the communities they serve. Ultimately, my end goal in life is to retire to farming. I believe that this lifestyle will allow me to live my last days healthy and strong while also providing people with fresh, well-grown food. I am passionate about sustainability and believe that small-scale farming can make a significant impact on reducing our carbon footprint and providing locally sourced produce. I hope to use this platform to educate others about the importance of sustainable living and inspire more people to take action toward a healthier, more environmentally conscious future. In conclusion, going above and beyond is not just a mindset for me, but a way of life. Whether it's working to fund my education, volunteering in my church, or donating to a worthy cause, I always strive to make a positive impact on the world around me. Looking towards the future, my vision is to continue to serve others through financial and spiritual assistance and retire to farming to live a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

As an election worker, I had the opportunity to impact not only the world but also the lives of individuals in my community. The experience has taught me the value of integrity, responsibility, and hard work, and how these qualities can make a significant difference in the world around us. One of the most important aspects of working as an election worker is ensuring the integrity of the voting process. This means following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure that every vote is counted accurately and fairly. As a result, I have developed a deep appreciation for the importance of honesty and transparency in any democratic system. Without these qualities, trust in the system can erode, leading to a loss of confidence in our institutions and ultimately, the erosion of democracy itself. Moreover, my time as an election worker has taught me the importance of responsibility. As an election worker, I had to be accountable for every aspect of the voting process, from setting up the polling station to ensuring the privacy of voters. This experience has helped me to develop a sense of responsibility and a desire to take ownership of my actions and decisions in other areas of my life. I have learned that taking responsibility for one's actions is a crucial component of personal growth and development and that it is an essential quality for anyone who wants to make a positive impact in the world. Finally, my experience as an election worker has taught me the value of hard work. As anyone who has worked in an election can attest, it is a demanding and sometimes grueling job. There are long hours, strict deadlines, and a tremendous amount of pressure to get everything done correctly. However, despite these challenges, I found the work to be incredibly rewarding. There is a deep sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing that you have played a role in helping people exercise their right to vote and that you have contributed to the functioning of our democracy. In addition to these broader lessons, my time as an election worker has also impacted the lives of individuals in my community. For many voters, the polling station is the only point of contact they have with the electoral process. As a result, the quality of their experience can have a profound impact on their views of democracy and their willingness to participate in the future. By providing a welcoming and efficient environment, we can help to create positive experiences for voters, making them more likely to participate in future elections. I remember one particular voter who came to the polling station on election day. She was a senior citizen and had difficulty walking, and it was clear that she was nervous about the process. However, the election workers at the station went out of their way to assist her, providing her with a chair and ensuring that she had everything she needed to vote. It was a small act of kindness, but it made a tremendous difference to her. She left the polling station with a smile on her face, expressing her gratitude for the assistance that she had received. It was a moment that reminded me of the importance of treating every voter with kindness and respect, regardless of their background or circumstances. In conclusion, my time as an election worker has had a significant impact on my life and the world around me. It has taught me the importance of integrity, responsibility, and hard work, and how these qualities can contribute to the functioning of our democracy. Moreover, it has allowed me to impact the lives of individuals in my community, providing them with positive experiences and encouraging them to participate in future elections. As such, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to have worked as an election worker, and I hope that I can continue to make a positive impact in the world through my actions and decisions in the future.

As a 17-year-old who is deeply concerned about the impacts of climate change, I believe that expanding nuclear power capabilities is the most impactful way to combat this global issue. While there are various ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change, I believe that nuclear power is the most efficient and effective way to address the immediate need for pollution reduction. Nuclear power is a proven source of energy that has the potential to provide clean, reliable, and affordable power without generating harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Indeed, nuclear power is not without risks, but modern nuclear power plants are much safer and more efficient than older facilities. With advanced technology and proper safety measures, nuclear power can be a significant part of the solution to combat climate change. However, I am also aware that nuclear power is not a long-term solution to our energy needs. Eventually, we must transition to more sustainable and renewable sources of energy. In my personal life, I strive to support the transition to renewable energy by advocating for policy changes that support the development and implementation of renewable energy technologies. I also support companies and organizations that prioritize the use of renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, and hydropower. In addition to supporting renewable energy sources, I also make changes in my personal life to reduce my carbon footprint. One of the ways I do this is by biking or walking instead of driving whenever possible. I also make sure to carpool with others when driving is necessary to reduce the number of vehicles on the road. Additionally, I am considering switching to an electric vehicle to further reduce my carbon footprint. Another way I strive to combat climate change is by increasing my recycling efforts. I make sure to recycle all of my paper, plastic, and glass products, and I am always looking for ways to reduce my waste. For instance, I bring my reusable bags when shopping and use a refillable water bottle instead of disposable plastic ones. Recycling is a simple yet effective way to help conserve natural resources and reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills. In summary, as a 17-year-old who is passionate about combating climate change, I believe that expanding nuclear power capabilities is a critical step in the right direction. However, we must also recognize the importance of transitioning to more sustainable and renewable energy sources. In my personal life, I strive to support the transition to renewable energy while also making changes to reduce my carbon footprint through biking, carpooling, recycling, and using reusable products. By working together and making small changes in our daily lives, we can all contribute to the fight against climate change and ensure a better future for generations to come.

Mathematics is a fascinating subject that is constant and unbiased, unlike many other areas of knowledge that can be influenced by personal beliefs or biases. The beauty of math is that its principles and laws remain unchanged over time, regardless of cultural or social differences. This consistency is part of what makes math so intriguing and satisfying to those who study it. Another aspect that contributes to the love of math is its problem-solving nature. Math allows us to solve problems and find solutions that may have seemed impossible at first glance. This ability to problem-solve and think critically is valuable not only in the field of math but in many other areas of life. Furthermore, math is not divisive like many other topics. It does not discriminate based on race, gender, or social class. The laws of mathematics apply equally to everyone, regardless of who they are or where they come from. This aspect of math is particularly significant in a world where divisiveness is often the norm. Mathematics also provides a sense of certainty and security. When solving a math problem, there is only one correct answer. This provides a level of confidence and assurance that is not always present in other fields where subjectivity and interpretation can come into play. The consistency and objectivity of math can provide a sense of comfort and peace of mind. In conclusion, the love of math can be attributed to its constant and unbiased nature, its problem-solving capabilities, its lack of divisiveness, and the sense of certainty and security it provides. These qualities make math a valuable and enjoyable subject for many people.

In today's world, it is essential to be mindful of our daily choices and how they impact the environment. From the food we eat to the water we use, every decision we make can have a significant impact on our planet. For me, one of the ways I strive to live sustainably each day is by limiting my water waste and finding ways to repurpose old food. Water is a precious resource, and we must do our part to conserve it. One of the ways I do this is by using all of my water before I refill a water container. For example, after washing my hands or brushing my teeth, I turn off the faucet and use the remaining water to water my plants or clean something else. This simple act may seem small, but over time, it can save a significant amount of water. Additionally, I make a conscious effort to take shorter showers and turn off the water when I am not actively using it. It is important to remember that water is not an infinite resource, and we should all do our part to conserve it. Another way I strive to live sustainably each day is by finding ways to repurpose old food. Instead of throwing away scraps or expired food, I feed it to my chickens. This not only helps to limit food waste but also provides my chickens with a healthy and nutritious diet. Furthermore, I make an effort to purchase locally sourced and organic food whenever possible. By doing so, I can reduce the carbon footprint associated with the transportation of food and support local farmers who use sustainable farming practices. Living sustainably is not just about making small changes; it is about being a good steward of the earth. This means taking responsibility for the impact of our actions and making conscious decisions that will benefit both the environment and future generations. As a steward of the earth, I recognize that my daily choices have a significant impact on the environment. It is my responsibility to minimize my environmental impact and make sustainable choices whenever possible. By doing so, I hope to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable world. Moreover, I believe that it is important to educate others about the impact of our daily choices on the environment. This can be done by leading by example and making sustainable choices in our daily lives. For example, I share my experiences with friends and family, discussing the benefits of sustainable living and encouraging them to make similar changes. In conclusion, our daily choices can have a significant impact on the environment, and it is our responsibility to live sustainably whenever possible. Limiting water waste and finding ways to repurpose old food are just a few ways I strive to live sustainably each day. Being a good steward of the earth means taking responsibility for the impact of our actions and making conscious decisions that will benefit both the environment and future generations. By educating others and leading by example, we can all work together to create a healthier and more sustainable world.

Generational wealth is a concept that has gained significant attention in recent years, and it means passing down wealth from one generation to another. To me, generational wealth is more than just money, it is a legacy that is passed down from one generation to the next. It is about creating a sustainable and thriving future for my family and community. As a young person, I understand that building generational wealth is not an easy task. It requires strategic planning, hard work, and a commitment to responsible stewardship. I believe that the key to achieving generational wealth is through wise investments and sound financial decisions. It is essential to be mindful of how money is spent and how it can be used to build wealth over time. However, I also understand that generational wealth is not just about accumulating financial resources. It is about being good stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us. This means being responsible and ethical in the management of wealth, and ensuring that it is used in ways that benefit both current and future generations. This can be achieved through investing in sustainable business practices, supporting charitable causes, and taking care of the environment. To achieve generational wealth, I plan to pursue education and career opportunities that will allow me to accumulate financial resources. I also plan to learn more about investing, financial planning, and other aspects of wealth management so that I can make informed decisions about how to grow and preserve my wealth. However, I also recognize that building generational wealth is not just about individual success. It requires a commitment to the well-being of one's community and society as a whole. This is why I plan to use my resources and skills to give back to my community and make a positive impact on the world. One way that I plan to achieve generational wealth is by investing in real estate. Real estate can be a stable and profitable investment over the long term, and it has the potential to generate income that can be passed down to future generations. I plan to invest in properties that are in high demand and have the potential for value growth. This will allow me to build a portfolio of real estate assets that can generate passive income and increase in value over time. Another way that I plan to achieve generational wealth is through entrepreneurship. I believe that owning a business is one of the best ways to build wealth over time. By starting a business, I can create a source of income that has the potential to grow over time and provide financial security for myself and my family. I also plan to use my business to create jobs and support my community. However, as I pursue these goals, I will always be mindful of my responsibility as a steward of wealth. I will be careful to invest in businesses and projects that have a positive impact on society and the environment. I will also be committed to giving back to my community through charitable giving and volunteer work. In conclusion, generational wealth is an important concept that requires strategic planning, hard work, and a commitment to responsible stewardship. It is about more than just accumulating financial resources, it is about building a legacy that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Through wise investments, entrepreneurship, and a commitment to giving back, I plan to build generational wealth that will benefit both my family and my community.

Creating something that can solve a problem is a great way to utilize creativity and innovation. One of the creations that have helped me is a wooden box made from recycled wood from a play I was in. The purpose of this box is to provide a secure and dry place to store my documents and valuables. As an individual who values sustainability, I try to make use of things that would otherwise be thrown away. I believe that it is important to reduce, reuse, and recycle to lessen our impact on the environment. When I was in a play, I noticed that the set was made from recycled wood. The wood was in great condition and I felt that it would be a waste to throw it away. So, I decided to use it to make a box. The process of making the box was challenging, but also fun and rewarding. I spent several hours sanding, cutting, and shaping the wood to fit my needs. I had to take into account the size of the documents and valuables I wanted to store, as well as the dimensions of the recycled wood. Once the box was complete, I was very pleased with the results. It was sturdy, secure, and had a unique look to it. I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing that I had created something useful out of materials that would have otherwise been discarded. If I had the money and resources, the problem that I would solve would be the mining of rare earth metals. Mining for these metals, which are used in many electronic devices such as smartphones and computers, often involves practices that are harmful to the environment. The process releases toxic substances into the air and water and can lead to deforestation and habitat destruction. To solve this problem, I would propose the development of an autonomous asteroid belt mining ship. The ship would be equipped with the latest technology and would use a series of space tethers to safely travel to and from the asteroid belt. The ship would be powered by solar energy and would have the ability to collect and process rare earth metals without the need for traditional mining practices. The development of this technology would require a significant amount of resources and funding. The initial cost would be high, but the long-term benefits would be worth the investment. Not only would this technology reduce the harm caused by traditional mining practices, but it would also open up new opportunities for space exploration and resource utilization. To make this plan a reality, collaboration with government agencies and private companies would be necessary. It would also require the expertise of scientists, engineers, and other professionals in various fields. This would be a complex and ambitious project, but the potential benefits for the environment and humanity would be immense. In conclusion, creating something that solves a problem is a great way to use one's creativity and innovation. My wooden box made from recycled wood has provided a secure and dry place to store my documents and valuables. If I had the resources, I would work to develop an autonomous asteroid belt mining ship to solve the problem of harmful mining practices for rare earth metals. This technology would require significant resources and collaboration, but the potential benefits would be worth the investment.

As a 16-year-old who serves as an election worker, I believe that this attribute makes me unique. Being an election worker has allowed me to be involved in the democratic process and to play a role in shaping our country's future. It has also taught me the importance of being impartial and unbiased, which are important qualities for any member of society. In addition to my work as an election worker, I also have a passion for helping others in my community. One way that I plan to give back is by assisting low-income families and churches with their finances. I believe that financial literacy is an important skill that everyone should have access to, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Growing up, I have seen firsthand the challenges that low-income families face when it comes to managing their finances. Many families struggle to make ends meet and are often forced to make difficult decisions when it comes to paying bills or buying groceries. I believe that by providing financial education and support, I can help these families to make informed decisions and achieve financial stability. Similarly, I have seen churches in my community struggle with their finances, particularly those that serve low-income communities. Often, these churches are unable to provide the resources and support that their members need due to limited funding. By assisting churches with their finances, I hope to help them to better serve their communities and meet the needs of their members. I plan to achieve this by volunteering with local non-profit organizations that provide financial education and support to low-income families and churches. I also plan to leverage my skills and knowledge in finance to provide one-on-one support to those who need it most. This could involve helping families to create and stick to a budget, teaching them about credit and debt, or providing advice on how to save for the future. In addition to my work with non-profit organizations, I also plan to give back to my community by volunteering my time and resources in other ways. For example, I plan to volunteer at local food banks and shelters, where I can help to provide meals and support to those in need. I also plan to participate in community events and activities that bring people together and help to strengthen our community bonds. Ultimately, I believe that giving back to my community is an important part of being a responsible and engaged member of society. By sharing my time, resources, and knowledge with others, I hope to make a positive impact and help to build a stronger, more resilient community. Whether it's through my work as an election worker, my efforts to support low-income families and churches, or my participation in community events, I am committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

Volunteering has been an incredibly impactful experience in my life, and it has changed my mindset in ways that I never could have imagined. By serving others, I have gained a deeper understanding of their emotions and the challenges that they face daily. It has helped me to develop empathy, compassion, and a desire to make a positive impact in the world. One of the ways that I volunteer is through my church's cafe. I love working in the cafe because it provides me with an opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether it is serving coffee, food, or just having a conversation, I have learned that the simple act of showing kindness and compassion can go a long way in brightening someone's day. This experience has shown me that no matter what someone's situation is, they deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Another organization that I volunteer with is Compassion International. Specifically, I help at their booths at events to get people to sponsor a child. This has been a truly eye-opening experience for me, as I have learned about the challenges that many children face in developing countries. It has made me more grateful for the opportunities that I have had in my life and has inspired me to use my resources to help those who are less fortunate. Through my experiences volunteering, I have come to realize that many people are struggling and that I have a responsibility to use my skills and resources to make a positive impact. This realization has changed my mindset, as I now strive to be more mindful of the needs of others and to find ways to help them. I have learned that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life. However, despite my passion for volunteering and desire to make a positive impact in the world, I am facing financial challenges that make it difficult for me to pursue my goals. I come from a family of six, with three siblings, and my father is the only one who works. My mother has chosen to be a stay-at-home mother and teach my siblings in our homeschool classroom, which has been a blessing for our family but has also put a strain on our finances. As a result, I require financial assistance to help me achieve my goals of pursuing higher education and making a positive impact in the world. This scholarship would be a significant help in alleviating the financial burdens that I am facing. It would allow me to focus on my studies and pursue my passion for volunteering without the added stress of financial strain. Furthermore, I believe that investing in my education is a wise decision. By obtaining a degree, I will be able to increase my earning potential and contribute to my family's financial stability. Additionally, my education will provide me with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a greater impact in the world through my volunteer work and future career. In conclusion, volunteering has changed my mindset in many positive ways and has inspired me to make a positive impact in the world. However, financial challenges are making it difficult for me to pursue my goals. This scholarship would be a significant help in alleviating some of the financial burdens that I am facing and would allow me to focus on my studies and pursue my passion for volunteering. I am grateful for your consideration, and I am committed to using my education and skills to make a positive impact in the world.

Losing a loved one is an incredibly difficult experience, and it can impact people at different stages in their lives. For me, the loss of my uncle Ricky to a heart attack when he was in his forties was a life-changing event that occurred when I was in sixth grade. While the grief and pain associated with such a loss can be overwhelming, it is important not to let it define who you are. In the wake of my uncle's passing, I learned the importance of living life to the fullest and taking care of my health. I believe that the perseverance it takes to overcome such difficult times should be celebrated, as it is no easy feat. As a student pursuing higher education, I understand the value of education in shaping one's future. My parents started a family before completing their degrees, and while they were able to obtain their associates, they were not able to go further. However, I believe that with a college education, I can accelerate my place in society and demonstrate to my family that obtaining a college degree is not a waste of money but rather an investment in one's future. My academic goals are deeply important to me, and I believe that higher education will provide me with a deeper understanding of my chosen field of study. I am particularly interested in accounting with a minor in non-profit management and ministry. This combination of skills and knowledge will enable me to make a significant impact in the lives of underserved communities through religious organizations. As someone passionate about helping others, I have seen firsthand the struggles that people face when they lack access to financial resources or guidance. It is my dream to work in non-profit accounting and serve communities that are often overlooked. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also interested in serving as a pastor in my local community. Through this role, I hope to provide people with spiritual guidance and support as they navigate life's challenges. I believe that my passion for helping others, combined with my education and training, will allow me to make a meaningful contribution to society. Receiving a scholarship would be a significant help in my journey toward achieving my academic and career goals. The financial burden of college can be overwhelming, and a scholarship would allow me to focus on my studies without the added stress of financial strain. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and using my education to make a positive impact in the world. Ultimately, my goal is to serve others through my actions and skills. I have learned this value from my grandfather, who served our country, and it has become a central part of my identity. Whether it is through small acts of kindness or larger contributions, I am committed to making a difference in people's lives. I believe that this is one of life's greatest rewards and I am eager to use my education to achieve this goal. While the loss of my uncle Ricky was a difficult event, it has helped shape who I am today and has given me the drive to work hard towards making a positive impact in the world.

One of the best pieces of financial advice that I have received is to be a good steward of my money, recognizing that ultimately it belongs not just to me, but to God. This advice was given to me by my parents, who have always been diligent in managing their finances and who have instilled in me the importance of doing the same. As I prepare to begin my college career and eventually enter the workforce, I plan to utilize this advice in several key ways. First and foremost, I will make sure to prioritize saving and investing wisely. While it can be tempting to spend money on things that provide immediate gratification, such as dining out or purchasing new clothes, I know that this type of spending will not serve me well in the long term. Instead, I will focus on setting aside a portion of my income each month for emergency savings and investing in my future through a retirement account. Additionally, I plan to make a budget and stick to it. This will help me to be mindful of my spending and ensure that I am living within my means. I will carefully consider my expenses and prioritize those that are truly necessary, such as rent, utilities, and groceries while cutting back on non-essential items. Another way in which I plan to utilize this advice is by seeking out opportunities to give back and help others. I know that I have been blessed with many advantages in life, and I want to use my resources to make a positive impact in the world. Whether it is through volunteering my time or making donations to charity, I want to do my part to help those who are less fortunate than myself. In addition to these practical steps, I also plan to cultivate a mindset of gratitude and contentment. I know that it can be easy to get caught up in the desire for more money, possessions, or status, but I believe that true happiness and fulfillment come from appreciating what we already have. By focusing on the blessings in my life and being content with what I have, I can avoid the trap of always wanting more and instead find joy in the present moment. Overall, I believe that this advice to be a good steward of my money will serve me well throughout my college career and beyond. By prioritizing savings and investing, making a budget and sticking to it, giving back to others, and cultivating gratitude and contentment, I can live a financially responsible and fulfilling life. One specific example of how I plan to utilize this advice is regarding student loans. As I begin my college career, I know that I will need to take out loans to pay for tuition, room and board, and other expenses. However, I also know that student loan debt can be a significant burden and can prevent individuals from achieving financial freedom and stability in the future. To avoid this outcome, I plan to be very intentional about my borrowing and repayment strategy. I will carefully consider my options for scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid, and only take out loans when necessary. Additionally, I will make sure to borrow only what I need and to choose repayment plans that are manageable and sustainable. Furthermore, I plan to prioritize making extra payments on my student loans whenever possible. By doing so, I can reduce the overall amount of interest that I will owe and pay off my loans more quickly. This will allow me to achieve financial freedom and stability sooner and avoid the long-term burden of debt. In conclusion, the advice to be a good steward of my money has been instrumental in shaping my financial mindset and goals. I plan to utilize this advice throughout my college career and beyond by being mindful of my spending habits and budgeting accordingly. I understand that it is important to not only manage my finances for my benefit but also to honor my responsibility as a steward of God's resources. This means making wise decisions with my money, such as saving for emergencies and investing for the future. Additionally, I plan to seek out resources and tools that can help me manage my finances effectively, such as financial planning software or seeking advice from professionals. By following this advice and being a good steward of my money, I hope to not only achieve financial stability and success but also honor my commitment to God and serve others in the process.

Servant leadership is an approach that focuses on serving others first and foremost. It is a leadership style that prioritizes the needs of others over one's interests. I have come to appreciate the importance of servant leadership in my daily interactions with family, school, and extracurricular activities. One way I practice servant leadership is through my volunteer work in my church's tech booth. In this role, I assist with the sound and lighting during church services. I need to be attentive to the needs of the congregation and ensure that everything runs smoothly. I also make sure that the equipment is functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Another way I practice servant leadership is by volunteering at my church's cafe. I help prepare and serve food to church members and guests. I find it rewarding to see the joy on people's faces as they enjoy a warm meal or a cup of coffee. I need to be patient, kind, and attentive to the needs of others in this role. In addition to my volunteer work in my church, I also practice servant leadership as an election worker. In this role, I assist voters with casting their ballots and guide the voting process. I need to be knowledgeable and approachable, as voters may have questions or concerns. I believe that my efforts as an election worker help to ensure that every person has the opportunity to vote and have their voice heard. Finally, I practice servant leadership through my volunteer work in my church's Switch 58 program. This is a program that is designed for middle school students, and I serve as a mentor and role model to these young people. I need to be patient and understanding, as middle school can be a challenging time for many students. I strive to be a positive influence and help these young people develop a strong sense of self-esteem and self-worth. Overall, I believe that my actions positively impact those around me. By practicing servant leadership, I can build stronger relationships with my family, friends, and community members. I am also able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others by serving their needs first. In my family, I have found that practicing servant leadership has led to a deeper sense of connection and understanding. By taking the time to listen to each other's needs and offering support when needed, we have built a strong foundation of trust and respect. In my school and extracurricular activities, I have found that practicing servant leadership has allowed me to develop stronger relationships with my peers and mentors. By being attentive to their needs and offering support when needed, I have been able to build a sense of camaraderie and trust. Overall, I believe that practicing servant leadership is a powerful way to positively impact the world around us. By putting the needs of others first, we can build stronger relationships, foster greater understanding, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to practice servant leadership, and I look forward to continuing to serve others in the future.

    “I Matter” Scholarship
As an election worker in a low population density area, specifically Cedar Creek Township in Muskegon County, I had the opportunity to assist voters during a small election in May. This experience allowed me to help people in need by ensuring that their right to vote was protected and that their voices were heard. As the election worker who assisted with voter casting, I explained to each voter how to put their vote in the machine, making sure that each vote was counted accurately. Additionally, I was responsible for giving voters their "I Voted" stickers as a small token of appreciation for their participation in the democratic process. Throughout the day, I encountered a variety of voters, ranging from experienced voters who had cast their ballots many times before to first-time voters who were nervous and unsure of the process. For each person, I provided the same level of care and attention, taking the time to explain the process and answer any questions they had. It was rewarding to see their faces light up with excitement as they cast their votes and proudly displayed their "I Voted" stickers. One particular interaction stands out in my memory. A woman came into the polling place looking frazzled and anxious. She had just finished a long day at work and was worried that she wouldn't have enough time to cast her ballot before the polls closed. I could sense her stress and immediately offered to assist her in any way I could. I walked her through the process step-by-step and reassured her that there was plenty of time left to cast her vote. As she filled out her ballot, I could see the tension in her face fade away, replaced by a sense of accomplishment and pride. This experience reminded me of the importance of civic duty and the impact that one person's vote can have. It was an honor to be able to help this woman and many others exercise their right to vote. As a young person, it's easy to feel disconnected from the political process and to question whether our voices matter. However, this experience showed me that every vote counts and that it's our responsibility as citizens to participate in our democracy. Overall, my experience as an election worker was a rewarding one. It allowed me to help people in need by ensuring that their voices were heard and their votes counted. It also reminded me of the importance of civic duty and the impact that one person can have on our democracy. In the future, I hope to continue to be involved in community service and find new ways to help those around me.

As a student who comes from a family where college education has not been the norm, I understand the value of higher education in providing a pathway to a more fruitful future. My parents decided to start a family before completing their degrees, and while they were able to obtain their associates, they were not able to go further. However, I believe that with a college education, I will be able to accelerate my place in society and show my family that obtaining a college education is not just a waste of money, but rather an investment in one's future. I am deeply committed to my academic goals and I believe that higher education will provide me with a deeper understanding of my chosen field of study. The traditional college experience will offer me a place of learning that online classes and on-the-job training cannot replicate. It will also expand my knowledge and prepare me to make valuable contributions to society. I am especially interested in pursuing a degree in accounting with a minor in non-profit management and ministry. This combination will provide me with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a meaningful impact in the lives of underserved communities through religious organizations. My passion for helping others has been a guiding force in my life. I have seen firsthand the struggles that people face when they lack access to financial resources or guidance. It is my dream to work in non-profit accounting and serve communities that are often overlooked. I believe that by doing so, I can make a tangible difference in people's lives and help to alleviate some of the financial burdens that hold them back. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also interested in serving as a pastor in my local community. Through this role, I hope to provide people with spiritual guidance and support as they navigate life's challenges. Whether it is through simple acts of kindness or more significant contributions, I am committed to making a difference in people's lives. I believe that this is one of life's greatest rewards and I am eager to use my education to achieve this goal.

Community involvement is something that can bring a sense of fulfillment and purpose to one's life. For me, several factors inspire me to get involved in my community. First and foremost, I enjoy helping others feel fulfilled. Knowing that I can make a positive impact on someone's life brings me a great deal of satisfaction. Additionally, as a person of faith, it is a part of my mission to serve others and contribute to the well-being of my community. Another factor that motivates me to get involved is the lack of support from younger people in my community. I have noticed that many of my peers are not actively engaged in community service or volunteering. This is concerning to me because young people need to take an active role in their community and work to make a positive impact. To influence change in my community, I have taken several steps to become involved. One way that I have contributed is by working as an election worker during local elections. By doing so, I have helped to ensure that people have an easier time exercising their right to vote. I believe that this is an important part of democracy, and I am proud to have played a role in making it happen. Another way that I have worked to influence change in my community is through volunteering in my church's middle school class. This is an important role because it allows me to help young people develop as stronger Christians. I believe that this is an essential part of building a strong community, as faith can provide a sense of purpose and direction for individuals. By working with these young people, I hope to inspire them to become active members of their community and take on leadership roles as they get older. I believe that this is an important way to promote positive change and to ensure that our community remains strong and vibrant for generations to come. In addition to these specific examples, I try to stay involved in other ways as well. I make an effort to attend community events and meetings, and I try to stay informed about local issues and developments. I believe that it is important to be an active participant in one's community to create positive change and make a difference. Overall, many factors inspire me to get involved in my community. Whether it is a desire to help others, a sense of duty as a person of faith, or a concern for the lack of support from younger people, I am motivated to make a positive impact. Through my work as an election worker and volunteer in my church's middle school class, I have been able to influence change in my community and inspire others to become involved as well. I believe that by working together and taking an active role in our community, we can make a real difference and create a better future for everyone.
    Book Lovers Scholarship
If I were to have everyone in the world read a book, I would have them read is George Orwell's 1984. Even though it is an older text, it describes how totalitarianism, whether left or right, is still totalitarian. The book also lets you see different perspectives on issues and how simple things can be swung back into our faces. One major issue I believe it helps describe is perceived equality. Even though the party, in 1984, champions equality, it has set itself apart from society going as far as describing the difference between party members and the 'proles'. This radical idea comes from a society, namely the Soviet Union, that espoused equality while in reality separating the people. Both societies called for women's rights but did this by making women a state resource. Both called for income equality but left everyone, but the top, poor. They called for peace but made war and it goes on and on again. Even though this book thinly masks itself from describing the Soviet Union, it can give us a better look into how people work today. It can help us weed through what parties and people tell us and what they do when they are given the power to change the world around them. The book, 1984, may have been written during the Cold War, but its description of society, and the promises it makes, can tell us how to weigh the words and actions of others against our internal ethics and beliefs.

"D&D Self-Perspective" There lived in a land far from here A party made of many From orc to elf to dwarf They were great And they strived to beat back A great horde from the East For in one's story They always seemed to be king But we see From here to there That one's story can change from perspective Here there is an elf Oh, he is great He serves his gods in his heart But from the other side of his sword He is the devil from below While here is a goblin He was beat as child But now he strives to be self-driven He is stuck down By the elf Who thinks he is a king So you see Even from frames Our reference is all They ever had

I feel that, for me, there is two very important songs, Surface Pressure and What Else Can I Do from the movie Encanto. They both describe how I feel as the eldest of my siblings and how I am expected to act around them and to the world. These songs teach that you don't always have to be the rock and that you can strive to be your creation.

College is important to me because it allows me a way forward a lot of my family hasn't had the chance to have. While my parents, who decided to have a family first, have gotten their associates that is as far as they went. The ability to go to college will allow me to accelerate my place in society and show my family that a college education is not just a waste of money but an important investment for a future fruitful life. Going to college will also allow me to focus deeper on my education and provide me with a place of learning that online college and on the job training just can't provide. This scholarship will allow me to strive into education without the deep financial burden many have to go through to get their college education. Robert T. Kiysaki once said, "Innovation is key. Only those who have the agility to change with the market and innovate quickly will survive." I believe that innovation is the most valuable quality to have because no other quality can be more versatile. While hope, joy, strength, or even creativity can help a person succeed the only way to use all of these wonderful traits or find ways to find alternative solutions to these traits is to innovate new ways and even better ways forward. Many well-meaning individuals find that innovation cannot function on its own which is true. The quality that must always be hand in hand with innovation is creativity. Without creativity, innovation stands at a standstill and cannot move forward. Our greatest abilities come from being able to see unique solutions and even a brighter and better tomorrow. My life's journey will be helped by innovation as I have many hurdles to jump before I can realize even my dreams. I have to look at alternative ways to pay for college as my family does not have the money to throw into college. I have to blaze a trail my family has not gone down by getting my bachelor's and eventually my master's degree. I feel innovation will also help me in my future career by allowing me to take information on a company's or individual's finances and giving them the most amount of wiggle room. Creativity can help my future by letting me develop back up plans and creative solutions to even the oddest and worse of problems. A creative and innovative mind also understands what is the impossible and how to strive to achieve that impossible. It may even seem that one is beaten but it simply is a distraction before one punch the problem in the face and takes on even greater problems. To stand down in the face of adversity is a smack to creativity and adversity, one must stand against the winds of misfortune and be how Mulan says, "One alone is not enough, you need both together." In conclusion, the quality I most value is two-fold. Innovation is important as it allows you to find unique solutions and better paths. While creativity is important, as without its innovation is as bland as rock soup. That is why I value creativity and innovation in my life and cherish it above other qualities.
