Hey there! I'm Ethan Zhang, and I'm entering Boston College as a freshman as part of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. I intend to pursue a bachelor's in applied psychology, with goals of double majoring and minoring down the line (choosing's the hardest part). Regarding my interests, I have always loved writing and learning. Ever since I was ten, I have been an avid writer and have enjoyed making written pieces. This was additionally the time I was introduced to roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons, which have cultivated my creativity, critical-thinking skills, and curiosity while teaching me the importance of forming tight-knit communities. These games, along with my exposure to works of fiction like "Fullmetal Alchemist," have motivated me to understand scientific and mathematical principles better so I could put them into practice and learn more about the history of the world so I could compare them to fictional cultures inspired by real civilizations. These interests eventually evolved into a genuine passion for these subjects independent of any game or media. My biggest, most ambitious passion project is the publication of fictional works of my own, inspired by the likes of "Fullmetal Alchemist," "Percy Jackson," and the comic books of DC and Marvel. I aim to bring the humanities and STEM together in stories of adventure, heroism, and self-discovery so that other people can discover their passion for learning about our world and beyond in the same way that creators like Hiromu Arakawa, Rick Riordan, and Stan Lee have fostered mine.
