Throughout my high school career, I have created a powerful resume in order to appear attractive to colleges and scholarships. I am the captain of my football team, the student body President, a state finalist power lifter, and I am also a member of Beta and the National Honor Society. Aside from being a member of these organizations, I have also received the awards for Bogalusa Daily News Student of the Month, Franklinton High School's Student of the Year, and 2021 All- State Academic Football team. I have a cumulative GPA of 4.09, which is the second highest in my school. My career goals are to become either a coach or general manager for an NFL team. I would like to begin this journey by networking with my college's football program and work my way into a good position. With my funds being limited, scholarships will be greatly appreciated and necessary to achieve these goals.

Personal ambitions drive all of the most accomplished people in history to achieve their goals, overcoming all daunting tasks and any adversity they may face. It may seem frivolous, but personally my ambition for the past four years has been to make my high school football team have the most success possible. This program taught me virtues that will stay with me throughout my life. When junior season started and my starting position was given to a sophomore over me, I was destroyed on the inside. After seeing the same thing happen for three years and many players quit, I struggled to keep that same ambition. The ambitions that were realized four years prior had finally begun to pay off as I was having the time of my life. Football has taught how to overcome all adversity and to never quit on something you love. My popularity became very known and as the Student Council President, I was looked up to as a leader in multiple aspects. After playing the best football I was capable of for seven weeks, disaster struck. After having a career game with fifty yards, I was tackled by my right leg. This single play ended my such deeply sought after football career with three tears in my meniscus, a complete ACL tear, a complete MCL tear, and a partial fracture. One can imagine the amount of heartbreak I was enduring as the game meant everything to me had been stolen. It has been the hardest time in my life to have all of my ambitions taken away. Recently I've come to the realization that instead of the game being taken away from me, I have just been sent down another path: to become a football coach and it begins this fall when I begin college.

My adolescence was filled with fat-jokes, few friends, and being left out of things my friends did in their sports. With my parents not having much money to spare and working in two different cities to spare, I could never make the practices and requirements to play. I have always been infatuated with the sport of football even from a young age. Seeing all my classmates have established brotherhood in this sport I loved the most was very difficult. Through nights spent begging, and the help of a close friend's parent, my parents finally allowed me to join the team freshman year. My football experience began completely unlike I thought it would. Having never played a sport prior to this point in my life, my athleticism was far behind the rest of my teammates. Being laughed at for the lack of skill and told repetitively to quit the sport I loved was demoralizing. At this point in time it became clear to me that all my ambitions were to be successful in this game. Although my hard work may not have paid off on the field quickly, my popularity in school and amount of friends sky-rocketed. I displayed my new improvements in strength, speed, and athleticism. When junior season started and my starting position was given to a sophomore over me, I was destroyed on the inside. After seeing the same thing happen for three years and many players quit, I struggled to keep that same ambition. After junior season came the hardest work in my life and the most improvement, with gaining approval of the coaches and a leadership role on the team. I won the starting job as a senior and led my team to a strong start to the season and kept the team close together.
