Greetings, my name is Ethan Brown, born under the union of Antonio Brown Sr. and Edythe Brown. I was born July 1, 2005, and spent the first 10 years of my life living in Flint, MI. Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA. My plan of action is to graduate from high school and begin my collegiate studies. I want to major in accounting and minor in kinesiology. My father is a CPA and I would like to continue in his footsteps while forging my own path. There is a lack of African-American CPAs in the field and I want to help close that gap. I support black excellence, which is why I hold myself to a high standard as a young, black male in America. I wish to help discontinue the stereotypes placed against us. I would like to prove that black men are more than just the bottom of the barrel. We are smart, strong-minded beings that can uphold powerful administrative positions in the workforce. Math happens to be my favorite subject, so it is something I can see myself doing as a lifetime career. As for fitness science, fitness has been a special interest of mine since a young age. It has always been important that I was in my best physical shape. Many people struggle with getting fit; it mostly has to do with motivation. Getting people to the point where they love their bodies is what I live for. I have enjoyed reaching and maintaining my fitness goals and would love to pursue a career in helping others feel the same. In my personal life, I enjoy helping the community in any way possible. In doing so, I donate clothing, pick up trash off of the sidewalks, feed the homeless, and give them a couple of dollars when I am able. I see myself as a natural-born giver since pleasure to me comes from blessing others. Not only that, but I do not expect anything in return. This is a trait that I plan to carry for the rest of my life. Hopefully, I will be so financially able one day, that I could possibly sponsor a high school student striving for a college education. That way I can give back to the younger generation and help build them up. To me, pouring into the youth is the best investment. They are the future of this world and it is our job as the predecessors to make sure they are set, just as ours have done for us. The vision I will pursue calls for an education on a collegiate level, which is why I would like your help. Since college is growing increasingly expensive, it is imperative that I attend and complete college with as little student loan debt as possible. I am interested in applying for scholarships that will cover the cost of higher education. I have been at the top of my game all four years and plan to keep going. With the opportunity to attend college and receive this scholarship, I will be sure to keep my eyes fixed on my dream to set the foundation for my future. Thank you for your consideration.

Greetings, my name is Ethan Brown, born under the union of Antonio Brown Sr. and Edythe Brown. I was born July 1, 2005, and spent the first 10 years of my life living in Flint, MI. My family and I moved to Southfield, MI in the summer of 2018, after the Flint water crisis. I finished elementary school at Grandview Elementary (Livonia, MI), went on to sixth and seventh grade at Clarenville Middle School (Livonia, MI), and completed eighth grade at Birney K-8 (Southfield, MI). Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA. A critical event in my life that helped mold me was the move in 2015. I grew up in a heavily religious household. We were members of the C.O.G.I.C. denomination and would spend the majority of our time at church. Living in Flint, the church was all I knew and I had no personal identity. It was programmed into me how I should live, and what not to do. I was also confined to strictly gospel music. On top of that, I was taught that if I participated in activities that seem normal now, I would be going to hell. Flint was a barricade for me because there was a limit to how much I could find out about myself. When I moved to Southfield, it was as if my life hit a reset button. I attended a new school that falls. There, I met new people, discovered what I liked to do, joined sports teams, listened to whatever music I wanted, dressed how I wanted to, and grew my hair out; I found out who I am. I am truly grateful for the change of scenery. I feel like I have progressed and found myself as an individual since then. During my high school career, I have displayed not only quality academics, but musical talent as well. The trumpet has been my primary instrument for the past seven years and I am working on expanding to a low brass and/or even a string instrument. In my 9th-grade year, I joined the Cass Technical High School Marching Band under the direction of Ms. Sharon Allen. Since then, I have shown countless acts of perseverance and leadership. As a result of my work ethic, I currently hold the honor of being the Trumpet Section Leader, Drum Major, and Band President. My job is to lead the band by teaching members the music, and dances, running sectionals, planning future events along with the band director, and more. The work takes plenty of heart, patience, and understanding: all qualities I built into my identity. Life has been a journey for me by far. I left one place which resulted in me finding myself somewhere else. Now, I am on the track I’d like to be on and doing what I love to do. I have goals for myself that I am sure to accomplish as long as I stay on track. My plan is to attend Tennessee State University next fall to study accounting and kinesiology. While there, I will also expand my musical abilities and march in their band. However, a college education is growing expensive nowadays, which is why I am applying for scholarships like yours. This money will help me cover the costs I would struggle to pay by myself. With this opportunity to earn a scholarship, I will be sure to stay responsible, continue playing my instrument, and excel in my studies. Thank you for your consideration.

Many people struggle with getting fit; it mostly has to do with motivation. People tend to not see the results they want, which leads to most giving up. I want to help change that attitude in those people. The degree in kinesiology would allow me to know the inner workings of the human body and it's movement. With this knowledge I'll be able to advise people along their journeys of getting in shape. Getting people to the point where they love their bodies is what I live for. Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA. A person who has had a significant influence on me is my older brother Antonio Brown Jr. He currently attends Tennessee State University as a music major. Music has been his passion since a baby. Antonio plays three instruments: the drum set, tuba, and baritone. At TSU, he plays the tuba in the marching band and has earned a full-ride band scholarship to attend. He is an incredible musician and the one I look up to the most. My musical career was heavily influenced by his drive and motivation for the craft. The trumpet has been my primary instrument for the past seven years now. It all started when Antonio joined the concert band at his middle school. I went to a band concert of his and I knew from there I wanted to do the same. In my eighth-grade year, he was a freshman in high school and was introduced to the marching band at Cass Tech. He had brought me to a few of his rehearsals and performances, which eventually sparked my marching band interest. As a result, in my freshman year I joined the Cass Technical High School Marching Band with him. We had spent three years playing and progressing with each other before he left for college in 2022. Now, I currently hold the honor of being the Trumpet Section Leader, Drum Major, and Band President. My job is to lead the band by teaching members the music, and dances, running sectionals, planning future events along with the band director, and more. My love for music was/is heavily influenced by my brother. I thank him for the motivation to keep going even now. Fall of 2023, I plan to reunite with my brother at Tennessee State University. There, I will major in accounting and study kinesiology as well. My band life will most likely continue too, as I am highly anticipating marching the trumpet at TSU. I have never said this out loud, but Antonio is my role model and I miss having him there to help guide me through life. He has taught me several life lessons that I appreciate him for. Receiving the opportunity to see him again will be beneficial to me. I would have a guide to assist me through the difficult life of the college. A college education is growing expensive nowadays, which is why I am applying for scholarships like yours. This money will help me cover the costs I would struggle to pay by myself. This money will go towards my college fund to attend Tennessee State University. With this opportunity to earn a scholarship, I will be sure to stay responsible, continue playing my instrument, and excel in my studies. Thank you for your consideration.

My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 3.9 cumulative GPA. Flint was a barricade for me because I didn’t know who I was as a person.

Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 3.9 cumulative GPA. With the opportunity to attend college and receive scholarships, I will be sure to keep my eyes fixed on my dream to set the foundation for my future. Thank you for your consideration.

The work takes plenty of heart, patience, and understanding: all qualities I possess. From a young age, I knew that band was something I was going to pursue. I started in the fifth grade at Grandview Elementary. I learned how to play the trumpet at a beginner level in the concert band. From then, my interest in music would carry on into middle school and now high school. In my freshman year of high school, I was introduced to the marching band. It was challenging at first though; the concept of marching while playing was out of my comfort zone. However, with time and days put in to perfect my craft, I became a way better musician than when I started. I plan to continue marching band in college at Tennessee State University after high school. Their band suits my style and the school has the courses I need to start my career in accounting. A college education is growing expensive nowadays, which is why I am applying for scholarships like yours. This money will help me cover the costs I would struggle to pay by myself. With this opportunity to earn a scholarship, I will be sure to be responsible, continue with the marching band, and excel in my studies. I would like to thank you vastly for your consideration.

They are the future of this world and it is our job as the predecessors to make sure they are set, just as ours have done for us. The vision I will pursue calls for an education on a collegiate level, which is why I would like your help. Since college is growing increasingly expensive, I must attend and complete college with as little student loan debt as possible. I am interested in applying for scholarships that will cover the cost of higher education. I have been at the top of my game all four years and plan to keep going. With the opportunity to attend college and receive scholarships, I will be sure to keep my eyes fixed on my dream to set the foundation for my future. Thank you for your consideration; surely it will not be in vain.

Greetings, my name is Ethan Brown. I was born July 1, 2005, and spent the first 10 years of my life living in Flint, MI. My family and I moved to Southfield, MI in the summer of 2018, after the Flint water crisis. I finished elementary school at Grandview Elementary (Livonia, MI), went on to sixth and seventh grade at Clarenceville Middle School (Livonia, MI), and completed eighth grade at Birney K-8 (Southfield, MI). Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 3.9 cumulative GPA. My plan of action is to graduate from high school and begin my collegiate studies. I want to major in accounting and minor in kinesiology. My father is a CPA and I would like to continue in his footsteps while forging my path. There is a lack of African-American CPAs in the field and I want to help close that gap. I am a supporter of black excellence, which is why I hold myself to a high standard as a young, black male in America. Hopefully, I will be so financially able one day, that I could sponsor a high school student striving for a college education. Currently, I am a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 3.9 cumulative GPA. A critical event in my life that helped mold me was the move in 2015. I grew up in a heavily religious household. We were members of the C.O.G.I.C. denomination and would spend the majority of our time at church. Living in Flint, church was all I knew and I had no personal identity. It was programmed into me how I should live, what not to do; I was confined to strictly gospel music… On top of that, I was taught that if I participated in activities that seem normal now, I would be going to hell. Flint was a barricade for me because I didn’t know who I was as a person. When I moved to Southfield, it was as if my life hit a reset button. I attended a new school that fall. There, I met new people, discovered what I liked to do, joined sports teams, listened to whatever music I wanted, dressed how I wanted to, grew my hair out; I found out who I am. My 9th grade year, I joined the Cass Technical High School Marching Band under the direction of Ms. Sharon Allen. Since then, I have shown countless acts of perseverance and leadership. As a result of my work ethic, I currently hold the honor of being the Trumpet Section Leader, Drum Major, and Band President. My job is to lead the band by teaching members the music, dances, running sectionals, planning future events along with the band director, and more. However, college education is growing expensive nowadays, which is why I am applying for scholarships like yours. This money will help me cover the costs I would struggle paying by myself. With this opportunity to earn a scholarship, I will be sure to stay responsible, continue playing my instrument, and excel in my studies. Thank you for your consideration.

Greetings, my name is Ethan Brown. I am currently a senior attending Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI). Chemistry-Biology is my curriculum and I have a 3.9 cumulative GPA. I have short and long term goals set in place to secure the successful future I envision. My short term goals consist of applying for 200 scholarships, auditioning for schools on my musical instrument (trumpet), maintaining a high GPA, managing my time better, and graduating high school. These five short term goals will ensure that I have little to any debt after paying for college. In addition, my long term goals include attending college with my desired major and minor, earning my bachelor’s degree from that school, starting my career, and making good money so I can retire on time or earlier. With the long term goals I have in mind, I am certain to live a comfortable life doing what I love. My plan of action is to graduate from high school and begin my collegiate studies. I want to major in accounting and minor in kinesiology. My father is a CPA and I would like to continue in his footsteps, while forging my own path. My curriculum is Chemistry-Biology and I have a 3.8 cumulative GPA. My plan of action is to graduate from high school and begin my collegiate studies. I want to major in accounting and minor in kinesiology. My father is a CPA and I would like to continue in his footsteps, while forging my own path. There is a lack in African-American CPAs in the field and I want to help close that gap. I am a supporter of black excellence, which is why I hold myself to a high standard as a young, black male in America. I have enjoyed reaching and maintaining my fitness goals and would love to pursue a career helping others feel the same. In my personal life I enjoy helping the community in any way possible. In doing so, I donate clothing, pick up trash off of the sidewalks, feed the homeless, and give them a couple dollars when I am able. I see myself as a natural-born giver, since pleasure to me comes from blessing others. With the opportunity to attend college and receive scholarships, I will be sure to keep my eyes fixed on my dream to set the foundation for my future. Thank you for your consideration; surely it will not be in vain.
