Joan Free Thompson Scholarship
Winner
As a first generation college student, I am extremely grateful to have an opportunity to be able to apply for the Joan Free Thompson Scholarship. I am a senior at Dumas High School and plan to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the fall of 2025. Throughout my life I have always been driven by a desire to help others which sparked my interest in pursuing a career in the health field. My ultimate goal is to earn my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and have an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the healthcare field. The Joan Free Thompson Scholarship will give me an opportunity to further my education by providing me with financial support. The cost of fees such as books, meals, supplies and tuition can be overwhelming making it difficult to focus on my studies. This scholarship would have a profound impact on my ability to further my education by relieving some pressure allowing me to devote more time and energy to my academic and professional development, ultimately helping me achieve my goals. I am very appreciative of the opportunity to be able to apply for this scholarship! Thank You Joan Free Tuition Scholarship for giving students such as me who need financial support the help we need.
