    Bold Legacy Scholarship
Legacy. Just reading the word, my mind correlates it to immortality. Immortality of the soul through others. That's the legacy I want to leave. I come from a country that, like many others, is rich in culture and natural wealth but struggling to keep its citizens from hunger, poverty, and war. We were never colonized but, the price was two battles and the death of many of our society's best and brightest. The chasm created in the place where generations handed down norms and knowledge has produced a society that is still struggling to grow and have peace. That's where I would come in. Just like the many heroes before me, whose sacrifice will live in the hearts of many, I hope to build that country they have given their lives for. I hope one day, and I will, to open a school where kids will learn to think critically, listen emphatically, and love unconditionally. A school where people will not see tribes when they see people but rather potential and growth and, a school where religion is not a difference but rather a diversity with infinite values. This used to be our way of life but, with the way of the world and many reasons that are not enough to list on this page, we have come to lose it. And that's the legacy I want to leave. Remind my people of our ways and values that still hold merit in these times. And through that, I will have lived in the coming hearts as well.
