A distressing incident unfolded in my neighborhood, bringing a very unpleasant experience into the neighborhood. A 5-year-old boy, his laughter echoing through the air just moments before, was tragically struck by a speeding car. The callous driver, oblivious to the devastation left in their wake, fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of devastation and despair. Such tragic events happen often but go unnoticed but the lasting mental health problems associated with these kinds of experiences can hardly be ignored. I joined a foundation that seeks to help families with such experiences get back on their feet. I may not be able to change the entire world but I can promise that in any neighborhood or small community I find myself, I will initiate programs that help promote mental health. I am keen on educating individuals even about their mental health and I am glad to have been enrolled in a doctoral study in educational leadership for such goals to be easily materialized. Thank you!
