I am a high school senior attending Benton High School. My passion is psychology; I find how the human brain works fascinating. I enjoy reading and roller skating and use both to help maintain a sound mind and body. I am a part of my school's chapter of the National Honors Society as a Treasurer. I am also a part of the National Society of High Scholars. My school nominated me to go to ALA Arkansas Girls State, and I got the opportunity to run for numerous positions. I had a lot of fun meeting new people and getting the chance to learn more about the Arkansas government on a more personal level. I used to struggle with my mental health. I had a lot of anxiety about everything and constantly overthinking (even over the tiniest of things). After getting the help I needed, I decided I needed to play a part- to help anyone who was struggling. I plan on majoring in Psychology and becoming a Clinical Psychologist. To do so, I will attend the University of Central Arkansas in the Fall of 2023. I will need a Master's degree in General Psychology to be a clinical psychologist, and the University of Central Arkansas has a fantastic psychology program. I am excited to become a clinical psychologist, help others in an overly stigmatized way, and help stop the mental health stigma.
