At 34 years old, I made the decision to return to school while working two jobs. In my last two semesters, I was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA as well as place in the 90th percentile on my TEAS. This fall I will start Nursing school at Herzing University in order to pursue a career that aligns with my purpose. While I built a successful career in the hospitality industry, I realized that my greatest fulfillment comes from serving others in a more meaningful way. As my relationship with God has grown, so has my desire to live a life rooted in compassion, service, and purpose. Returning to school to become a nurse has been both challenging and rewarding, and it represents my commitment to following the path I believe I was called to. Pursuing this calling has required significant sacrifice. In order to devote myself fully to nursing school, I made the difficult decision to leave one of my jobs and reduce my income so I could focus on my education and clinical training. While I know this is the right investment in my future, it has also created financial challenges. Any scholarship support would go a long way in helping relieve that burden, allowing me to dedicate my time and energy to becoming the best nurse I can be. I am committed to becoming a nurse who not only provides excellent clinical care but also offers comfort, encouragement, and hope to patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
