Greetings! There is a boy passionate about music, but not just music alone: the world. He has played the trumpet for over four years, since 7th grade. Throughout his academics and extracurriculars, he has been considered a failure. He failed to make the TMEA region in all four years, was unable to qualify for state in the solo ensemble, nor even tried to push himself to his limits or even asked to play with music groups outside of his high school band. Outside, he has never been a stellar student with grades, just an average student who maintains B's and C's. And his SAT score... Well, let's say it was below 1,000. This student seems average, someone who's perceived as "meh." However, thanks to the knowledge of psychology and willpower, this student will prove society wrong—an ordinary boy who takes his own human emotions and struggles into consideration. An ordinary boy faces extraordinary challenges and strives to go further. Demonstrating and simplifying people's decisions with music. That boy is me—Emmanuel Cruz.
