Growing up in Ethiopia, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education in child and community development. Clinging to each book that came into my possession, I developed an early interest in literacy. The scarcity of educational resources and support I observed fueled my passion for education policy.
I am now a sophomore at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where I am pursuing a degree in Global Education Policy and Diplomacy. In my college community, I serve as the Gallatin Sophomore Class President and the EESA Director of Events. My career aspirations include international policy, academia, and research.
I bring a diverse range of experiences to my work, including non-profit development, marketing, community organization, and government work. Currently, I am interning with a non-profit focused on early education accessibility for low-income families in the Atlanta area. My passion for education, advocacy, and community-building drives everything I do, and I am committed to making a positive impact through my work.
