When I was six, I convinced myself I had no other career path ahead of me except becoming an exotic animal veterinarian. I dove head first into it, from taking extracurricular classes on biology to volunteering at Zoo Atlanta for 850+ hours during high school. I loved it, I truly did and I'm still so glad I got to do it. But, during all that time, I completely ignored that biology wasn't where my passions were taking me. I spent all my free time developing fictional worlds, creating in-depth characters, and pouring hours upon hours into writing. It wasn't until my first year in college that I allowed myself to step back, face the fear of completely altering my long-planned course of life and realized what I really wanted to be is an author. Of course, that is something that does not easily pay the bills, so I've decided to take my second greatest passion, art, and make that my career. It's possibly tied with writing for how much time I've sunk into developing my ability in it. I'm am incredibly excited to take it further with with my new major, graphic design.
