Bio

Hi, my name is Emmanuel but you can call me Manny! From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the unknown—constantly exploring subjects that spark my curiosity, from environmental science and renewable energy to space exploration and sustainable city design. My passion has led me to develop a multidisciplinary mindset, seeing the connections between technology, culture, and human well-being. As an aspiring environmental scientist and climate technology innovator, I aim to travel the world conducting research and building solutions that bridge the gap between big corporations and local communities. My goal is to create advanced, sustainable technologies that are not only environmentally responsible and economically viable, but also culturally respectful and globally inclusive. I also believe that creativity fuels innovation. Alongside my scientific and entrepreneurial pursuits, I’m a musician and artist, using music to explore the complexity of human identity and connect with people on a deeper emotional level. Ultimately, I envision myself as a business-savvy entrepreneur leading multiple ventures—from renewable energy and space technology to the culinary arts—all united by a shared purpose: to improve lives, protect our planet, and give back through philanthropy and community-driven initiatives. Thank you @bold for giving me and others not only the opportunity to introduce ourselves in a broader, more detailed sense but to also help us financially in terms of our academics!

It was out of necessity. It was because of the way I needed to express myself behind closed doors when I felt as if nobody understood my pain and struggle. That in itself is why I started songwriting. When it comes to the way that I write a song, I take what I had learned from my past mistakes and the adversity I faced as a Hispanic LGBTQ+ person growing up and let that be the driving force to why I create music in the first place. Even when I write a song in a perspective that isn't mine, I try to intertwine my life, thoughts, philosophies, etc. into it to represent this universal nature of stories and how their meanings can be interchangeable and overall interpreted in so many ways. As I continue my life, that inspiration tends to change and evolve as I grow into a more mature and well-balanced human being. Now, I have this intention in mind when I write music that these stories I tell will be reflective of those changes in me (for better or worse) as a personal diary entry to where my mind was at, at a certain time period. I also like to think my music would act as a reminder to others that life is a learning process (and can be a creative one at that.) That I'll take whatever life throws at me and create fruits of my own labor for everyone to taste, enjoy, and hopefully utilize into their own lives as I have strived to become a better person. Whether that be professionally producing my songs in a studio, finalizing the lyrics to a song off an upcoming album, or coming up with new melodies and harmonies for a certain mix, I want to have that artistic freedom to create music with songs that hold so much value to me as a human being/artist. The way in which I can make that dream come to fruition is to be secured financially as I attempt to pursue both of my degrees (one in environmental science, the other in musical production) while I focus more time on fine-tuning my musical craft and have it be of quality.
