My life goals are to become a Ob/Gyn nurse and help mothers with their new responsibility. I also want to have an opportunity to convince new, young pregnant girls to keep their baby and not have an abortion.
Secondly, I want to eventually get married and have kids of my own. I want to raise them to be good Christians and citizens who respect authority.
Lastly, I want to use my talents and abilities as an actress and singer to tell people about Christ. Acting is a form of communication that can often express feelings better than words. It makes people feel in ways that they wouldn't otherwise.
It is a passion of mine to better the local community and world using my talents and abilities.

I am a senior at Flagstaff Christian School, and attending a Christian school, I have had many opportunities to serve my community. I am the head of the service committee in my school's student council, and that has been my position for the past two years. I have organized and participated in different projects such as: Operation Christmas Child, Mission to the Navajo, making homeless bags, and mission trips to both the Navajo reservation and to Mexico. I am very passionate about serving others whether it be local or abroad and I am eager to spread the love of Jesus to those who need it.
I also volunteer at my church. Every other week, I help teach three and four-year-old kids during the Sunday night service, I help in the nursery every few weeks, I work in the church kitchen when we have a potluck, wedding, funeral, or any other kind of fellowship. I also help clean the church after big events.
I would use the scholarship money to pursue a nursing major at Grand Canyon University. Paying for tuition, board, books, etc. is very expensive, and I want to get this scholarship to help pay for some of the expenses of a higher education.

WinnerLife is made up of so many different things whether that be school, jobs, family, or religion. I was raised in a Christian family and it has always been a top priority that we put God first and everything falls into place after that. In every chapter of life, building your schedule around your own relationship with God is essential to keeping your faith because when you try to fit God in after making your daily routine, He will most likely be forgotten and He will be pushed to the back burner.
The outside world can be a very cruel place and if you do not have a strong foundation in Christ, it is very easy to lose your faith due to bad influences and peer pressure. When I go to college, I will put God and my relationship with Him first and then build everything else in my schedule around that time that I dedicate to Him. I will take time to read my Bible, pray, and worship Him during my day. I will put Him first before anything else and He will help me with everything else in my life whether that be homesickness, loneliness, stressing about classes or grades, etc.
My current goal is to become an Ob/Gyn nurse and have the opportunity to influence mothers in the way that they raise their baby or even persuade them to keep their baby instead of having an abortion. This is a passion of mine because I have struggled with my own personal identity and worth in the past. I discovered by reading the bible and doing a challenge about personal identity that I have worth and God loves me very much. I want to be able to show mothers that their baby is worth saving and that the precious life growing inside them is a gift and blessing from God. I also have grown up in a church where there were many babies and I would go around and babysit for the moms so that they would be able to enjoy the church service. I would hold babies from the age of a week old to two years old and the whole time be thinking about how precious they are and how they could change the world. I have a special place in my heart for little kids and I want to use my career to help new mothers learn how to raise their child in a godly way.
In America, there is a growing rate of abortions. This breaks my heart because most of the women who do it are girls who wanted to feel loved and they made a huge mistake. They do not want to keep their child because they do not feel ready to raise a child, they do not want the child at that point in their life, or they do not want a constant reminder of what they did. I want to be an Ob/Gyn doctor to be able to tell them how special they are, how God loves them despite their mistakes, and how He will forgive if they ask.
I know that God gave me a heart for babies because He loves them very much and He can use someone like me to change the world in the area of abortion. I can change the perspective of children in my own community from "kids are a curse" to "children are a gift from God to be treasured." This is my goal for life and this is something I hope that I can accomplish through my career.

Service to others is one of the most important things that a person can do in their lives. I want to live a life of service and leave a legacy of generosity and kindness.
I have volunteered to help in my church since I was about 10 years old. My parents taught me to ask everyone how I could help and this has shaped me into someone that I want to be. Whether it's helping in the church kitchen during fellowships or teaching little kids in Sunday school, I love helping out and volunteering. Often, after a big event, my sisters and I stay for hours to help clean the church. This work can include vacuuming, scrubbing the floors and carpets, or picking up trash. I love that I can serve in my church.
I also frequently volunteer at my school. I have several free periods during the school day in which I will offer to print something for a teacher, pump balls up for the PE class, or give people rides back and forth to events or practices. I want to live to serve others no matter where I am or what they want me to do.
I serve in my school's Student Council as the service chair. In this role, I help plan service projects for the school and I help set up for events such as dances, movie nights, etc. Some of the service projects that I have done include: collecting items for the Mission to the Navajo, going on a Student Council mission trip to Kayenta, and helping the school plan events.
I also have gone on several mission trips. First, I went on a trip to Mexico in 2024 with my church. While we were there, we went around and told people about the good news of Jesus and we prayed for people. Also, this past December, I went on a mission trip to Kayenta, Arizona with some of my friends. While we were there, we put on puppet shows in schools and churches and we also taught little children about Jesus.
When I go to college next year, I am planning on majoring in nursing. I chose this area of study because I have a heart for people and I feel like this is the best way for me to serve others. My goal is to become an Ob/Gyn nurse and help mothers to start a new chapter in their life with their new baby.
I was also accepted into the honors college of Grand Canyon University which gives me the exclusive opportunity to go on mission trips all over the world. In the honors program, I can also volunteer in local programs such as tutoring kids and doing cleanup for people. I am very excited to go to college and immerse myself in serving the local community and helping others in the world abroad.

I am a high school senior at Flagstaff Christian School. I am very involved in my school's student council where I am head of the service committee. In that role, I organize service projects for the student body to participate in and that involves a lot of planning, organization, and time. For the Fall semester of 2025, I have organized a drive to collect items for a charity called Mission to the Navajo. This charity filled boxes with toys and clothes for little kids and they give them to children on the Navajo reservation. I organized a drive to collect toys, clothes, etc. and then I sorted everything and delivered it to the charity volunteers. In doing so, they invited myself and three of my friends to go on a missions trip to the Navajo reservation. My friends and I accepted and this past December, we went to Kayenta, Arizona to serve the Navajo community. We went to schools and did puppet shows, taught little kids, and helped hand out the gifts from our school. This was a very fun and rewarding trip.
I am also an editor and photographer for my school's yearbook class. I work in and out of class to write captions, interview teachers and students, take photos at sports games and other school related events, and I am a leader of a group of four other students in the class to make sure that they are always doing something productive and staying on task. I help the teacher to keep the class and the yearbook itself organized.
Volleyball is also something that I am very involved in. I have done it for the past four years and I have made the varsity team for my junior and senior year. I was a team captain this year and I want to play club volleyball next year in college.
Also, I am very passionate about the arts. Singing, dancing, acting, etc. are all things that I enjoy doing in my school’s theater program. I have been in my high school theater club for the past four years and I have participated in acting and singing onstage at my church for the past fourteen years. I have always loved being onstage and participating in activities that people hundreds and even thousands of years ago did. It gives me a thrill and I would love to be a part of a fine arts program at Grand Canyon University.
I also have been accepted into the GCU honors college and that gives me special opportunities to go on mission trips overseas. I would love to go on these trips and make a difference out in the world.
If I were to create a charity, I would collect things for new, single mothers. Baby essentials can be very expensive and I would love to collect things to give to those who cannot afford them. My mission would be to help young, single mothers in need whether that be collecting supplies for them or even helping them find a place to live.
Ava Wood Stupendous Love Scholarship
I always want to be kind and considerate to others. Being remembered for kindness and compassion is something that I strive for because I want to have a purpose. I love to give gifts to people. Generosity is an attribute that I want to be known for. One recent time that I remember being kind was about three months ago. My friend, Katie, was being teased by the other girls in her class and I found her crying in the school office. I sat next to her and she told me about some of the things that the girls said and how they had treated her. I know what it is like to have people say hurtful things to you so, I offered to buy her Starbucks. She gave me her order and while I was at the store, I also bought her lunch. I wanted to show her that I cared about her and that I loved her. She is worth every dollar that I spent and every minute that she needed to talk.
I personally feel like this moment was important because I showed love to someone who needed it. It is moments like this that I want to live and be remembered for. I also want to inspire people to make an effort to be kind to others whether that is through kind words, spending time with lonely people, or even paying for someone else's lunch or coffee. The world would be a much better place if every single person on earth were to do at least one kind act towards someone else. Also, doing an act of kindness can help people to not always focus on themselves all the time but to look for ways to help others. Selfish people are usually miserable because they only think of themselves and what their problems are but if they would simply look around, they would see a world of broken and hurt people needing love. I want to make it my life goal to be kind.
Individuality is rare in our current society. People say that they want to be their true selves but that usually means that they want to break away from their parent’s ideas of modesty and morals and become like everyone else. It is very hard to stand out and be yourself when people tease or ridicule you for doing so. This social pressure to conform is why many people are like copy and paste of the latest social media influencer. I personally want to stand out by being kind to others, which is uncommon in our culture, and to have joy, which is also very uncommon. With actions and words filled with hate for other people and depression and suicide rates rising every year, I want to be a light to show people that there is still love in the world and that everyone has a purpose. One specific time that I remember doing standing out and trying to be myself was a few months ago at school. People at my school often joke about how they hate this person or they want to hurt someone else. I was in a group of people that began to talk and joke about such things and the conversation made me angry. I spoke up and told them that everyone is unique and made for a purpose and it is not right for us to hate people. The group went quiet for a few minutes and then one by one, that all agreed and apologized for saying what they did.
God Hearted Girls Scholarship
My relationship with Jesus began when I was nine years old. Since then, I have studied God's word to learn more about the character of God and who He is. I have experienced His love and felt His presence in hard times. I love reading the Bible because it tells me so much about what God has done in the past and it gives me hope for my own future because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If God did miracles in the past, the Bible tells me that He can do it for me. This relationship between me and Jesus has strengthened my faith so much.
Faith is believing without having to see physical evidence of it. I have felt the presence of Christ when I worship, pray, or simply just go to church. These experiences have drawn me closer to Jesus in a way that I can never forget. I know that I am never alone and I can look back on experiences of feeling His love to remind me of that.
I believe that my relationship with my savior Jesus Christ will help me to keep my eyes on my goal. I want to become an Ob/Gyn nurse to save lives. Although my goal sounds cliched, it is the best intention that I could ever have because people matter more to me than money or fame. Abortion rates are rising rapidly and I want to have the ability and opportunity to influence mothers to keep their child. I personally hold to the belief that every single person is made in the image of God. With this in mind, when I hear about the hundreds of babies being killed every day, it breaks my heart. I can use my future profession to be in a position to convince mothers to save their baby’s life.
Learning how to do this profession is the first step in being able to accomplish my goal. My faith is the most important thing in my life which means that it has a role in everything that I do. I must have an education to become an Ob/Gyn nurse and I personally refuse to get that at a secular college. I want everything that I do to be in Christ and I sincerely believe that I can best learn nursing hand-in-hand with my faith at a Christian college. This is how I am going to integrate my faith into my education and learning.
Evan James Vaillancourt Memorial Scholarship
When a nurse or future nurse is asked about what their goal is the cliche answer is to save lives. We hear this sentence so much that we are desensitized to how incredible it is. People serving and helping other people is a miracle because we are often told from a young age to make ourselves happy because we only have one life to live. This agenda will sometimes make people do only what is best for them without thinking of others. Nursing, however, is a career that is centered around helping people and often making sacrifices for people that you do not even know. This is my goal for becoming a nurse. I want to be an Ob/Gyn nurse because it would give me a chance to save lives. Hundreds of abortions happen every single day and I want to try and influence new mothers to not only keep their baby but to also love them.
I want my community to be known for people caring for and loving other people. I believe that I can achieve that goal by starting at the beginning of life. Babies are the next generation and with rising abortion rates, I desperately feel the need to change girls’ minds when it comes to their child. Many of them say that they are going to get an abortion because they do not feel ready to raise a child. They need to know that there is hardly anyone that feels ready when they have a baby but they buckle down and do the best they can anyways. There are so many testimonies of people who almost had an abortion, decided no to do it, and later in life, they said that their child, whom they almost killed, was one of the best things that ever happened to them. I want to give girls reasons to keep their baby because they do not know what a blessing children are in life. I believe that as an Ob/Gyn nurse, I can be a positive influence on the decisions that a new mother makes.
In conclusion, my goal for going into the nursing field is to save lives. I do not say that just to sound smart or to say what everyone else says but I truly do want to change my community for the better. You can argue the pros and cons of abortions for hours but everything really comes down to killing a life or saving a child. I want to have the impact of saving the lives of the next generation.
Valerie Rabb Academic Scholarship
I was raised in church. This environment gave me the ability and opportunity to be with children. I volunteered in the nursery and I also teach 3-4-year-old kids. By working with kids in church, I got experience working with babies and I fell in love with children. I have the desire to make a difference in the world by helping to raise up the next generation.
My dream is to become an Ob/gyn nurse. I have always loved working with children and babies since I was a child myself. I believe that I can make a positive impact on the world by influencing mothers on how they raise their children. I have noticed that the way that a child acts, reflects how they were raised. I want to try to help families to raise their kids in the best way that they can.
Kids are the future of the world. The next generation of babies are little people who will grow up and maybe be the next president or the scientist who cures cancer. That starts with how they are raised. As an Ob/gyn nurse, I can help mothers choose to keep their baby rather than abort it and I can help give them tips about how to raise kids.
My family has always struggled with poverty. We had enough to survive but not much left over. My sisters and I had to learn how to have fun without spending money and we also learned how to save and spend wisely. My family has always taught that we should try to pay for college without student loans. I have overcome the adversity of poverty by working hard to save and working odd jobs to get extra income to try to save for the future.
I want to give children a bright future. I believe that I will be able to achieve that goal by interacting with mothers from the beginning of their pregnancy till the birth of the baby. I would also want to form relationships with mothers and babies that will last for years. I dream of being able to not only save lives by standing up against abortions but I also want to make a difference in the lives of families.
Oftentimes, when people think of nurses, they only think of saving lives and helping sick people. Although nurses do those things, they can also have an even bigger impact on people's lives. I think that as an Ob/gyn nurse, I can inspire new mothers to raise their children in a godly and loving way. I can help them to see their child as a life that has the potential to influence the world in many good ways. Without responsible and respectful kids, society will slowly crumble. I want to give families the inspiration and knowledge to raise their kids so that society will continue to prosper.
