I have a strong passion for disability advocacy, and that is how I got led down the path of Social Work. Individuals with disabilities are lacking individualized support within this realm, and I aspire to help bridge the gap. As Vice President of Membership for my Social Fraternity in 2021, I worked with our Executive Offices to allow the participation of individuals with disabilities in fall primary recruitment. EO was advertising inclusion and equal opportunities, while also excluding these individuals who were pursuing an alternate degree at Auburn University. After many hard conversations, I was able to update our status as able to participate with the EAGLES Program at Auburn University.
