Educating yourself and the importance of your credit!
It is crucial to understand how to build your credit. I used to think that it was just silly. Why did I need a credit score to tell others when I could get a loan. I was going to pay them back!
I would run into hardships along the way of making bad financial decisions and I would not be able to pay back what I borrowed. I kept blaming others for my lack of self control and knowledge while irresponsibly borrowing.
So I decided to educate myself! Credit Karma taught me how to dispute transactions which would make my credit score go up and lenders would let me borrow from them again. I had to make sure I kept my promise to repay them.
I learned about interest and a way to start paying towards my principal first rather than my monthly payment going to basically all of my interest and it took longer to pay off.
All in all educate yourself and take responsibility to make a better you! You want to have this resource but you have to be able to follow through and people loaning you the money want to see that in action you will pay them back. That is why the credit system is in place.
I used to think the credit system and my score was bunk but now I get it and it’s a pretty smart system if you ask me!
