      Dashanna K. McNeil Memorial Scholarship
Ever since I was a small child I have wanted to people. I would often visit a nursing home to see my Granny and I fell in love with helping the elderly. I plan to pursue a degree in physical therapy. With this degree I plan to work with patients young or old and help them recover from the various obstacles they are faced with. I love people and want to help and encourage them when they are at that low point and need a smile and a extra push. This scholarship will help me attend school and help with the many expenses college brings. It will allow me to focus my time and energy toward my school work and help take the financial stress off myself and my parents. I also have a old brother that attends college so my parents will be helping both of us thru college. College is very expensive and can be stressful when trying to pay for it. I am a dedicated student and love all things medical. I feel that it’s my calling in life to help people and this is why I have chosen the medical field. I have good grades and love all things medical. I hope I am chosen for this scholarship so that I can work towards my passion and my career goal. I love Conway High School and my parents are also alumni. My dad graduated in 1992 and mom 1995. I would be honored to receive this scholarship in honor of Ms. McNeil. I promise to honor and work really hard towards my career goals. I feel the physical therapy may be just the beginning for me and I’m dreaming big. With this scholarship it will help me explore my passion with in medical profession. I plan to attend Horry Georgetown Technical school in the fall and start the Physical Therapy Assistant degree and continue on with my studies at Coastal Carolina College and then medical school at The Medical University of South Carolina. I would like to have my own medical practice also. I have always been told to dream big so I am going to do that very thing. I really hope that I am chosen for this scholarship. It will truly be a honor to receive such a honorable scholarship in honor of Ms. McNeill. Thank you! Emily Caroline Anderson CHS Class of 2021
