Teaching Like Teri Scholarship
After I finish college, I want to help make my community and maybe the world, a better place by becoming a teacher. Teaching isn't just a job for me; it's something I feel passionate about. It's a way to lift others up, give kids the knowledge they need, and show them that they can achieve more than they think. I believe that classrooms have the power to create real change, and I want to be a part of that every day. Right now, I'm already working to make a difference. I volunteer with youth programs and tutor younger kids whenever I can. These experiences have taught me that many children just need someone who believes in them, someone who will listen and encourage them. I've seen how a simple act of kindness or a lesson taught with care can change a child's life. It's care can change a child's life. It's those small victories that give me a real sense of purpose. When I'm in the classroom, I want to take that purpose with me. I want to create a space where kids feel safe, respected, and excited to learn. I want to be the kind of teacher who makes students look forward to coming to school, not just for the lessons, but because they know someone cares about their growth. Education isn't just about tests and textbooks; it's about building confidence, sparking curiosity, and helping each student find their voice. In a world that often feels divided, I believe that investing in children is one of the best things we can do. I want to be a reliable source of support, a source of inspiration, and a guide who helps students see their potential. I know I won't solve every problem or connect with every student the same way, but if I can help even one child believe in themselves and their future, I'll know l've made a difference. I really feel as though if a kid doesn’t get what they deserve in life which is always an education then why are they even here in the first place. Each and every kid that lives in this earth deserves a good quality education no matter what they have been through or are going through. Each kid should have the same rights no matter what. My dream is to spend my life shaping minds, lifting spirits, and creating brighter futures, one student at a time.
