Teenage girls are affected every day both positively and negatively by social media. It can affect their self-esteem and body image, which can lead to insecurity and low confidence levels. While it offers opportunities for connection, creativity, and self-expression, it also fosters unrealistic beauty standards, social comparison, and the need for validation, which can harm self-worth. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok often showcase heavily edited and curated content, making it easy for teenage girls to compare themselves to idealized images of influencers, celebrities, and even their peers. This constant exposure can lead to body dissatisfaction, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy, as many young girls struggle to meet these unattainable standards. The pressure to maintain a perfect online presence further contributes to stress and self-doubt, as self-worth becomes tied to likes, comments, and follower counts. One of the most damaging aspects of social media is the reinforcement of unrealistic beauty ideals through filters, photo editing apps, and cosmetic trends. Many teenage girls feel pressure to alter their appearance digitally, which can distort their perception of beauty and fuel insecurities. This phenomenon has been linked to increased cases of body dysmorphia, where individuals become excessively focused on perceived flaws in their appearance. Additionally, the rise of influencer culture encourages comparison not only in looks but also in lifestyle, leading to feelings of inadequacy when one’s real life does not match the seemingly perfect images displayed online. Seeing friends or influencers constantly attending events, traveling, or achieving milestones can create a sense of exclusion and trigger the fear of missing out, which contributes to anxiety and depression. Cyberbullying is another major concern, as social media provides a platform for anonymous negativity and harassment. Teenage girls are particularly vulnerable to online hate, whether it be through direct messages, negative comments, or subtler forms of exclusion and gossip. Unlike in-person bullying, online harassment is constant and inescapable, often leading to severe emotional distress. This environment can make girls feel isolated and unworthy, exacerbating mental health struggles. Moreover, excessive social media use has been linked to disrupted sleep patterns, decreased self-esteem, and difficulty forming healthy, real-world relationships. To mitigate these harmful effects, it is crucial to promote digital literacy and encourage a critical approach to social media. Teenage girls should be educated on the realities of edited content and the business-driven nature of influencer culture. Parents and educators can play a vital role by fostering open conversations about self-worth and encouraging offline activities that build confidence, such as sports, arts, and community engagement. Setting boundaries on screen time and promoting mindful social media use, such as following positive and body-neutral accounts, can also help create a healthier online experience. Additionally, campaigns that emphasize authenticity and self-acceptance, along with social media platforms enforcing stronger policies against cyberbullying, can contribute to a more positive digital environment. By encouraging a balanced approach to social media, teenage girls can develop resilience and self-esteem that are not solely dependent on online validation, fostering a healthier and more confident sense of self.
Julie Adams Memorial Scholarship – Women in STEM
I was fascinated by technology at an early stage and how it can be used to change the world. Valerie Rabb Academic Scholarship
I was fascinated by technology at a young age and how it has the ability to change the world. From solving puzzles, attempting simple coding, and understanding how different systems work, I liked understanding how things work. This fascination later grew into wanting to study computer science as a possible future profession. I want to use technology to solve real-world problems, develop innovative software, and be involved in breakthroughs that improve people's lives. With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software development, I feel that there are unlimited opportunities to make a meaningful impact. However, my journey has not been without challenges. Perhaps the toughest adversity I have faced was being diagnosed with epilepsy at an early age. My seizures occurred shortly after I had fallen asleep, and I was frightened and uncertain about what was happening to me. It was a difficult and confusing time, as I struggled to understand why my body was reacting in this way. By the time I received the diagnosis offocal epilepsy, I had to take medication daily in order to control my seizures. This was not an easy adaptation, as I now had to manage my health along with my day-to-day life. Apart from the health concerns, my diagnosis forced me to confront the reality that certain career paths, such as becoming a pilot or professional driver, would be off-limits for me. It was difficult to come to terms with the fact that certain doors were closed for me even before I could try to open them. But instead of letting this get me down, I chose to focus on what I could control: keeping myself healthy and positive about the future. I refused to let my condition define my potential. By age thirteen, my seizures stopped, and I was officially diagnosed as epilepsy-free. While this was an enormous relief, it came with its own set of challenges. I constantly had the fear in the back of my mind that the seizures would return, and I had to do extra things, like obtaining medical clearance, to even obtain my driver's license, which my friends did not have to go through. Frustrations aside, I learned patience, persistence, and perseverance. This experience has taught me that it is not the setbacks that determine whether I will succeed or fail, but it is how I respond to them. Overcoming epilepsy has shaped my life philosophy and problem-solving approach. Perseverance is crucial in computer science. Debugging programs, troubleshooting errors, and devising creative solutions for tricky problems all require persistence. My life experience in overcoming adversity has strengthened my ability to meet challenges with persistence and adaptability. Just as I navigated my health ordeal, I am prepared to deal with setbacks in my career with the same level of persistence. As I continue along my journey, I hope to make a positive impact through technology. Whether it involves developing software that simplifies the lives of individuals with medical conditions, enhancing cybersecurity to protect sensitive data, or building innovative applications that solve everyday problems, I would want my contributions to be long-lasting. My experience living with epilepsy has taught me the importance of persistence, and I will cling to that as I strive to make my mark in computer science.
Jorian Kuran Harris (Shugg) Helping Heart Foundation Scholarship
Growing up, I developed a passion for baking, and my long-term goal is to open my own bakery, where I can bring joy to people’s lives through delicious treats. The creativity and precision required in baking appeal to me, and I love the idea of making others smile with a fresh pastry or a perfectly baked cake. Receiving this scholarship would bring me one step closer to that dream, allowing me to pursue the education and training I need to make my bakery a reality. It would ease the financial burden of schooling, enabling me to focus more on developing my skills and turning my vision into a successful business. Beyond my love for baking, my journey has also been shaped by overcoming personal challenges, including my experience with epilepsy during childhood. I was diagnosed with focal epilepsy at the age of eight, which caused seizures shortly after falling asleep. The uncertainty surrounding my health and the fear that came with it was an emotional burden that I carried for years. The fear of having a seizure and the thought that I might be limited in my future aspirations weighed heavily on me. However, I learned to manage my condition through medication and regular medical check-ups. This process taught me how to be resilient and responsible, two qualities that will undoubtedly help me as I pursue my goal of running a bakery. One of the most difficult periods came when I was thirteen and was cleared of my epilepsy diagnosis. Though it was a relief, it also meant transitioning from years of cautious living to a new normal. The sense of emotional weakness I felt was tied to the constant worry that the condition might return, or that it might still limit me in some way. It was a mental hurdle I had to overcome. With time, I grew more confident in my health and embraced the freedom that came with it. By the time I was ready to get my driving permit at fifteen, I had to prove I was seizure-free, a process that was frustrating but necessary. It reminded me that even though I had faced obstacles, they wouldn’t define my future. This experience helped me realize that setbacks don’t have to prevent me from achieving my dreams. In fact, they can shape me into a stronger person who is capable of handling challenges. It also taught me patience, something that will be invaluable as I work toward opening my bakery. Just like in baking, where precision and patience are key, I know that building a successful business will take time, and I’m prepared to put in the effort. This scholarship would provide the financial support necessary for me to pursue the education and skills I need to be an entrepreneur. It would allow me to take the next steps toward my goal without the added stress of financial strain, which would help me focus on honing my craft and eventually opening my bakery. I believe my ability to overcome personal challenges, combined with my passion for baking, positions me to succeed in this field. I want to create a space where people can experience happiness through food, and I’m excited to turn that vision into a reality.

My faith has taught me that there is purpose in every experience, including failures or setbacks, and that these moments can lead to growth if approached with patience and trust in God. This mindset has allowed me to remain hopeful, even when things don’t unfold as I initially envisioned. When it comes to my future career of owning a bakery, I believe my faith will assist me in multiple ways. First, my faith instills in me the importance of hard work and dedication, not just for personal gain but for the service of others. As a business owner, I want my bakery to be more than just a place that sells baked goods—I want it to be a space that fosters community, warmth, and positivity. Through my faith, I’ve learned the value of kindness, generosity, and humility, all qualities that I hope to embody as I interact with customers, employees, and the broader community. Whether it’s offering a smile to a customer having a bad day or giving back to the community through charitable initiatives, I want my bakery to reflect the principles of compassion and service that my faith teaches. Moreover, faith has taught me the importance of perseverance and resilience, qualities that are essential in any entrepreneurial endeavor. Owning and operating a bakery will undoubtedly come with its share of challenges—financial pressures, long hours, and the unpredictability of the market. However, my faith reminds me that challenges are a part of the journey and that through dedication and trust, I can overcome them. When facing setbacks, I will rely on prayer and reflection to guide me, allowing me to make decisions from a place of calm rather than fear. My faith also helps me understand that success is not just measured by profit but by the positive impact I can make on the lives of others, something that motivates me to pursue this career with integrity and heart. In conclusion, my faith in God has provided me with the strength, guidance, and perspective to navigate life’s challenges, and I am confident it will continue to assist me as I pursue my dream of owning a bakery. Through prayer, patience, and trust, I will approach my career with the values of service, integrity, and resilience, knowing that God’s plan is guiding me every step of the way.
      Sabrina Carpenter Superfan Scholarship
Sabrina Carpenter’s career has left a lasting impact on me, not only because of her undeniable talent but because of her growth as an artist and individual. As a fan, I’ve witnessed her evolve from a Disney Channel star into a confident singer-songwriter with a distinct voice and artistic identity. Her music, acting, and public persona have been a source of inspiration, particularly in how she navigates the complexities of fame while staying authentic to herself. Carpenter’s career speaks to the importance of self-expression and resilience, qualities that have deeply influenced me in my own life. One of the primary reasons I am a fan of Sabrina Carpenter is her versatility. She first caught my attention during her Disney days on Girl Meets World, where she portrayed Maya Hart, a character who embodied wit and rebellion. Carpenter’s performance stood out because of her ability to convey vulnerability beneath the character’s tough exterior. As a young viewer, I admired how she brought depth to her roles, making her characters feel relatable. However, it wasn’t just her acting that impressed me—it was her ability to seamlessly transition from acting to music that truly solidified my admiration. Carpenter’s music career, which began with her debut album Eyes Wide Open (2015), has been particularly impactful for me. Her songs explore themes of self-discovery, relationships, and personal growth, all of which resonate with listeners navigating similar stages in their lives. Tracks like “Sue Me” and “Almost Love” reflect her confidence and resilience, sending empowering messages about moving on from toxic relationships and embracing independence. These themes have encouraged me to approach my own challenges with a sense of confidence and self-assurance, knowing that growth often comes through adversity. In addition to her empowering messages, Carpenter’s music has a unique way of combining emotional depth with infectious pop melodies. Her album Singular: Act I marked a significant shift in her sound, showcasing her ability to merge personal storytelling with a more mature and polished production. Songs like “Paris” and “Exhale” demonstrate her growth as both a vocalist and a songwriter. “Exhale,” is a song that has deeply affected me—it touches on the need for a moment to breathe amidst overwhelming pressure. As someone who has experienced similar feelings of anxiety, this song shows me that it’s okay to step back and prioritize mental health. Carpenter’s willingness to be vulnerable through her music has made me feel more understood as a fan. Another reason I support Sabrina Carpenter’s career is her authenticity and grace in the face of challenges. Despite the inevitable pressures and public scrutiny that come with fame, Carpenter remains grounded and open about her struggles. For instance, her handling of public rumors and the media frenzy surrounding her in recent years demonstrated remarkable maturity. Rather than shying away from these issues, she addressed them through her music, particularly in songs like “Skin,” where she reflects on her experiences with grace and self-assurance. This transparency in her art has inspired me to approach my own hardships with a similar sense of honesty and resilience. In conclusion, Sabrina Carpenter’s career has had a profound impact on me, as an artist and as a person. Her versatility in acting and music, her messages of self-empowerment, and her ability to stay authentic amidst challenges are qualities that I admire deeply. Through her art, she has provided me with both entertainment and inspiration, showing that personal growth is a continual journey. As she continues to evolve in her career, I will undoubtedly continue to support her, knowing that her work will continue to inspire and influence fans like me.
      Chappell Roan Superfan Scholarship
Chappell Roan’s music has had a profound impact on me, offering a fresh perspective on pop and indie music through her emotionally charged lyrics and fearless authenticity. Her ability to blend vulnerability with empowerment creates a unique listening experience, one that resonates deeply with those who have ever felt different or struggled to find their voice. Roan’s music, filled with themes of self-discovery, identity, and emotional depth, has not only made me a fan but has also influenced how I perceive my own journey through life. One of the reasons Chappell Roan’s music resonates so deeply with me is her unapologetic embrace of individuality. Songs like “Pink Pony Club” explore the complexities of self-expression, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community, a theme that feels deeply personal yet universally relatable. In this track, Roan sings about finding freedom and acceptance in a space where she can be her authentic self. The song’s message of self-acceptance and empowerment speaks to anyone who has ever felt the need to conform to societal norms. For me, it’s a reminder to embrace the parts of myself that I may have hidden away out of fear or self-doubt. Another reason Roan’s music has such an impact is her ability to convey raw, emotional truths through her lyrics. Songs like “Love Me Anyway” and “Casual” delve into the complexities of relationships and vulnerability. Rather than presenting idealized versions of love or life, Roan paints a picture of real emotional experiences—the insecurities, the longing, and the fear of rejection. These songs have a therapeutic quality, allowing listeners like myself to process feelings we might not even know we have. Roan’s honesty is refreshing in a pop landscape that sometimes favors superficiality over depth. Beyond the personal connection I feel to her music, I support Chappell Roan’s career because she represents an artist who is unafraid to challenge the norms and push boundaries. In a music industry often driven by commercial trends, Roan stands out by creating music that is unapologetically her own. She navigates the often tricky terrain of pop music while maintaining an indie spirit, something that I admire greatly. Her journey, marked by perseverance and self-discovery, mirrors the resilience she sings about in her music, making her a relatable figure for fans like me who value authenticity. Moreover, Roan’s commitment to using her platform to uplift marginalized voices and advocate for self-expression makes her an artist worth supporting. She has cultivated a space where fans can feel seen and heard, particularly those from the LGBTQ+ community. This inclusivity is another reason I am drawn to her work. Roan’s music feels like a safe haven—a place where differences are celebrated, not just tolerated. In an era where representation and inclusivity in media are more important than ever, Roan’s voice stands out as one that not only entertains but also empowers. In conclusion, Chappell Roan’s music has impacted me on both a personal and emotional level. Her ability to merge authenticity with emotional depth makes her stand out in the current music landscape, and her commitment to self-expression and inclusivity is something I deeply admire. Supporting her career feels like supporting a movement—one that champions individuality, vulnerability, and the celebration of who we truly are. As she continues to evolve as an artist, I have no doubt that Roan will continue to inspire and empower listeners like myself, reminding us all of the beauty in being unapologetically ourselves.
      Love Island Fan Scholarship
In the ever-evolving landscape of Love Island, challenges serve not only as entertainment but also as catalysts for relationship dynamics. A new challenge, dubbed the "Relationship Compass," would bring a fresh and introspective twist to the series, focusing on communication, emotional understanding, and direction within the couples’ relationships. This challenge is designed to test how well couples understand each other’s values, long-term goals, and emotional needs—forcing them to chart their relationship journey like a compass pointing them toward or away from a lasting connection. The Relationship Compass would take place over two segments: a questionnaire and an interactive physical task. In the first part, each couple would be separated and asked to answer a series of thought-provoking questions about their relationship, future, and personal values. These questions would revolve around key relationship areas such as trust, communication, intimacy, and long-term compatibility. For example, one question might ask, “Which quality do you most need from your partner to feel secure in this relationship?” or “Where do you see this relationship in five years?” By answering these questions separately, couples would be forced to reflect on whether their emotional compasses are aligned. Once the answers are submitted, the couples reconvene for the second part of the challenge: a physical task that symbolizes navigating their relationship journey together. A large, life-sized compass will be set up in the villa garden, with different “directions” marked around it, such as Commitment, Trust, Fun, Communication, and Growth. Each direction represents a core value in a relationship. Couples must physically walk together to the point on the compass that best represents their shared vision for the future. They must do this without speaking, using only non-verbal communication—holding hands, eye contact, and body language—to ensure they are both aligned in their choice. At each compass point, a card awaits them, revealing how well their initial questionnaire answers match up. For example, if a couple chooses the "Trust" point but one partner’s answers reflected insecurity or doubt, this disparity will be revealed. The card may say something like, “You both value trust, but one of you isn’t feeling fully secure in the relationship.” This would spark an open conversation between the couples, giving them a chance to confront these discrepancies head-on. The final aspect of the Relationship Compass is a reflective discussion that occurs after all couples have completed the challenge. Each pair must sit down and discuss their chosen compass direction, their questionnaire answers, and any areas where they diverged. This discussion phase is critical, as it forces couples to communicate deeply about their feelings and where their relationship is headed. Couples who share the same values and goals will feel validated and affirmed, while those with differences may be prompted to re-evaluate their connection. The Relationship Compass challenge is designed to blend introspection with action, making it more than just a game—it’s a transformative experience that can either strengthen bonds or expose weak links. By metaphorically and literally navigating the core aspects of their relationship, contestants will be able to see if they are truly heading in the same direction, or if they need to course-correct. In essence, the Relationship Compass introduces a thoughtful, emotional challenge to Love Island, one that goes beyond superficial attraction. It taps into the deeper questions of compatibility, helping contestants (and viewers) realize that love isn’t just about chemistry—it's about whether two people can journey through life in harmony, with their emotional compasses pointed in the same direction.
      Bear Fan Scholarship
In my vision of the perfect ending for The Bear, the show concludes with a sense of both personal fulfillment and community growth, where each character finds peace with their journey. The restaurant that has been central to the series finally reaches a point of stability and success, but more importantly, it becomes a space where all of the characters can grow in their personal lives as well. Carmy, after struggling with his identity as both a chef and a leader, finds balance between his professional ambitions and his personal well-being. Rather than being consumed by the chaos of the kitchen, he learns how to step back, delegate, and trust his team. By the end of the series, Carmy is not just a successful chef, but someone who has found peace within himself, leading a healthy and fulfilling life outside of work. Sydney, who has shown such promise throughout the series, evolves into Carmy's equal partner in the business. Her culinary talents and leadership shine, and she gains the confidence to spearhead her own projects within the restaurant. Sydney’s arc would culminate in her becoming a widely respected chef, with the restaurant thriving under her co-leadership. The series could even hint at her launching her own restaurant in the future. Richie, who has been grappling with his role and purpose, finds his place in the restaurant as the heart and soul of the team. While he might not be a culinary expert, his deep connection with the people in the neighborhood and his unyielding loyalty help the restaurant become a beloved local institution. Richie’s growth reflects not only a transformation in his professional life but also in his personal one, as he finally finds contentment and stability. In this ideal ending, all of the supporting characters—Marcus, Tina, and the rest of the kitchen crew—would also reach their own milestones. Marcus’s passion for pastry leads him to recognition, perhaps a showcase of his creations or an opportunity to travel and hone his craft. Tina becomes a mentor to the younger staff, reflecting her growth from an uncertain cook to a confident and respected figure in the kitchen. The final scene could show the restaurant, bustling yet calm, with each character at peace in their respective roles. There would be a sense of completion, not just for the business, but for the people who made it happen. Rather than a dramatic conclusion, the ending would reflect the day-to-day beauty of what they've built together: a thriving restaurant and a chosen family. In this ending, The Bear leaves viewers with a deep sense of satisfaction, knowing that every character has found their place—not just in the restaurant, but in their lives.
      Billie Eilish Fan Scholarship
When considering my top three Billie Eilish songs, Ocean Eyes, L’amour De Ma Vie, and What Was I Made For stand out not only for their musicality but for how they resonate with my emotions. These songs share a distinct ability to create an atmosphere of deep calm and reflection, immersing me in their soothing tones. First, Ocean Eyes captures a sense of weightlessness, with its ethereal vocals and delicate melody. The hauntingly beautiful sound makes me feel like I'm floating, drawing me into a peaceful mental space where I can relax and reflect. This song is especially powerful because it contrasts soft vulnerability with a sense of depth, which calms me even during stressful moments. Next, L’amour De Ma Vie, with its dreamy quality, echoes that feeling of calm. The song flows in such a way that it captures fleeting moments of peace and reflection, much like reminiscing over cherished memories. The emotional softness and lightness of the track always make me feel like I'm being enveloped by something comforting, soothing my mind. Finally, What Was I Made For stands out for its introspective lyrics and gentle instrumentals. Every time this song plays, it evokes a strong sense of reflection about purpose and identity. It’s like the music gently poses a question to my inner self, but rather than causing tension, it guides me to a calm space of acceptance, offering a moment of clarity and rest. All three songs—Ocean Eyes, L’amour De Ma Vie, and What Was I Made For—hold a special place in my playlist, as they never fail to calm my spirit and help me feel more grounded.

The choice to pursue culinary arts stems from a deep love for baking and its ability to bring people together. Baking is not just a skill; it’s an art form that involves creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of ingredients. I have always been drawn to the idea of creating desserts that tell a story, evoke emotions, and provide comfort. The challenge of mastering techniques, experimenting with flavors, and constantly innovating in the kitchen excites me. But I know that creativity in the culinary world must be paired with a strong understanding of business if I am to turn my passion into a long-term career. That’s why I plan to combine my culinary education with a study of business. Running a successful bakery requires more than just knowing how to bake; it involves marketing, finance, management, and customer service. By learning the intricacies of both fields, I’ll be better equipped to launch my own business and navigate the competitive environment of the food industry. Entrepreneurship appeals to me because it allows for freedom, creativity, and the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. I plan to pursue an entrepreneurial career because I want the ability to shape my own path, create a business that reflects my values, and bring my unique vision to life. In baking, I see endless possibilities to innovate, whether through new creations, sustainability efforts, or creative partnerships. Being an entrepreneur means embracing risk, but it also means having the potential to make a significant impact in the world. I believe I will be successful in my business endeavors because of two key traits: creativity and determination. Creativity will allow me to stand out in a crowded market. It’s not enough to simply follow trends; true success comes from pushing boundaries and offering something fresh and original. Whether it’s designing a unique menu, finding innovative ways to source ingredients, or creating an unforgettable dining experience, my creative vision will help me differentiate my business from others. However, creativity alone is not enough. Determination is what will drive me to keep going, even when challenges arise. The baking industry is notoriously difficult, with many businesses failing within their first few years. I know there will be obstacles—whether financial, logistical, or personal—but I am prepared to face them with perseverance. A successful life is one that is both fulfilling and impactful. It’s about doing what I love, constantly growing and learning, and making a difference in the lives of others. In my case, that means using my culinary skills to bring joy to people through food while also building a sustainable and thriving business that contributes to the community. Ultimately, I believe that by combining my love for culinary arts with a strong foundation in business and by harnessing my creativity and determination, I can achieve success. Whether that means owning a restaurant, developing a food brand, or creating an entirely new culinary concept, I am confident that I have the skills, mindset, and drive to turn my entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

      GUTS- Olivia Rodrigo Fan Scholarship
The lyrics from Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS track "Teenage Dream" are, “Will I spend all the rest of my years wishing I could go back?" beautifully captures the bittersweet nature of adolescence, especially during the transition out of high school. As a senior in high school, this question feels incredibly poignant, reflecting the fear and uncertainty many face as they prepare to leave behind a period that has defined so much of their identity. The line captures the tension between yearning for the past and the intimidating vastness of the future. For many, senior year is a time when everything feels heightened—friendships, pressures, and emotions. There’s a sense of finality looming over every experience. For four years, high school offers a structure, a social ecosystem, and a place where teens are expected to figure themselves out. But as graduation approaches, the future is no longer some distant horizon; it’s right around the corner. The transition from high school to the unknown can be both exciting and terrifying, as students grapple with the uncertainty of what lies ahead. It's a time of reflection, growth, and anticipation for the next chapter in their lives. The lyric suggests a universal fear: What if the best moments are already behind us? This sentiment touches on the challenges of growing up—grappling with change, loss, and the unknown. The fear of moving forward and leaving behind the familiar is compounded by the pressure to succeed, to have everything figured out, and to not fail in adulthood. There’s a longing to stay in the present, but time moves forward relentlessly. The transition from adolescence to adulthood can be daunting, as the safety net of high school fades away and the responsibilities of the future feel large. It's a time of uncertainty and vulnerability, but also a period of growth and self-discovery. Many seniors in high school feel overwhelmed by this impending change. They face the anxiety of what comes next—college, work, or adulthood itself. It’s not just about nostalgia for the “glory days” of adolescence, but a deeper worry: What if the future isn’t as good as the past? What if adulthood doesn’t live up to the expectations that have been placed upon it? In Teenage Dream, Olivia Rodrigo touches on this collective uncertainty. She taps into the vulnerability that accompanies the end of a formative chapter in life. The lyric resonates deeply because it articulates the fear that perhaps life has already peaked and what follows might never measure up to the intensity of teenage experiences.

Learner Mental Health Empowerment for Health Students Scholarship
As a student, mental health is important to me because it directly impacts my ability to focus, learn, and succeed academically. For a long time, I have struggled with balancing my mental health and everything else I need to do. A lot of the time I will bottle up my emotions until I "blow up," so to speak. This has a negative affect on myself and the people around me. I recently started devoting time to gather my thoughts and emotions so I can address them in a healthy way. By prioritizing my mental health and seeking support when needed, I have been able to improve my overall well-being and relationships with others. It's important for women to prioritize their mental health and seek help when needed, whether through therapy, medication, or self-care practices. By addressing our emotions and taking care of ourselves, we can improve our overall well-being and relationships with others. I advocate for mental health by openly sharing about my mental struggles. By sharing my own experiences, I hope to reduce judgment and encourage others to seek help when needed. Sharing my story helps others feel less alone and more comfortable opening up about their own mental health challenges. Additionally, I am always there for others who need to talk about their mental health. By simply being there for others, I am able to provide support, guidance, and a listening ear to those who may be struggling. This creates a safe space for open communication and promotes a culture of mental health awareness and acceptance in my community. I believe that by being open and vulnerable about my own struggles, I can help break down the misconceptions surrounding mental health issues. It is important for everyone to know that they are not alone and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Overall, promoting mental health awareness and providing support can help create a more compassionate and understanding community where individuals feel comfortable seeking help when needed. In order to prioritize everyone's well-being, it is critical to continue these conversations and destigmatize mental health. By sharing our experiences and resources, we can foster a more inclusive environment where mental health is seen as a crucial aspect of overall well-being. Together, we can work towards creating a society that values and supports mental health for all individuals. By educating ourselves and others on the importance of mental health, we can break down barriers and encourage open dialogue. Let's strive to build a community where seeking help for mental health concerns is seen as a sign of strength and resilience.
