TV´s, phones, iPads, even self-driving cars, have all improved or significantly influenced society. One thing especially that was invented in the last 10 years was the Apple iPad. Throughout middle school and most of my high school years, I used and worked on an Apple iPad. It greatly changed the way I learned and studied. Being able to have all these new resources within my reach helped me thrive. As a senior in high school who has grown up in this technological era, I hope to continue my studies after high school through the dental field. My hope is to help improve the smiles of all my patients and educate them to develop healthy dental habits for the rest of their lives.

Someone I admire from history would be Mary Wolfstone Craft. She was a scholarly woman who fought for the rights of women and the right for women to vote ahead of her time, about 100 years. Many of her works were used in the fights for women´s voting in America and Britain influencing them to crave for more in their lives. Without her influences, we wouldn´t have a lot of what we have today that was invented by women. Wifi and the internet, life rafts, and more were all invented by women who had rights and could prove to society that they were more than just domestic housewives. Mary Wolfstone Craft´s works showed women they could be more than what they were told and greatly improved our society to where it is today.

As a person who continues to work on their mental health daily, I believe the best thing society can do is to talk about mental health more often. As a kid I didn´t learn what mental health was until seventh grade, and during this time I was already facing struggles with it, but didn´t understand it. I was in a confusing time, struggling against a force I had no idea that was influencing me. I dealt with it for many years by myself until finally I said something, I talked about it and I asked for help. That moment, changed my life! I no longer felt alone and trapped. I felt as though I could freely talk about my problems. Medication helped me with the chemical imbalance in my brain. I went to therapy and we talked. Talking allowed me to understand things better. I wish I had been told more about mental health sooner so I would have understood it better and not felt the need to hide it. Even though kids are young, I believe it would be better to teach them about their mental health sooner so they understand that talking about it isn´t bad and the problem is not unfixable. This way as kids get older, they will be more open to talk about their feelings and emotions.

Save, save, save, and save! This was the most helpful piece of financial advice I have ever received. When I was younger, I was the normal kid spending my money on toys and little gadgets to play around with, but as I grew older I didn't play with those toys as often enough. So, I asked around what to do with my money if I didn´t want to spend it on little gadgets? My mom told me to save, my dad told me to save, everyone I asked told me to save my money for a bigger purpose. As my life has continued, I save my money for a reason, only ever spending it on what I need or for a purpose, such as college, gas, insurance for my car, etc.. These are all things that have a purpose to further improve my life. As I continue to save, I hope to one day use my money to buy a house and/or be able to donate more to charities to improve, not only my life but others around me too.
