I read books multiple times a week.
Nonsense is what someone might call art; they would be right. How can someone create a piece from a few pen strokes, or a dance from sporadic movement? The magic of art had enchanted me when I was younger, continuing to charm me now. As a lifetime artist (or witch, maybe?) I strive to bring the joy of creation to my community, no matter how big or small. One of my favorite artistic moments as of this entry was volunteering at my county's summer camp. I created an impromptu mural with the requests of elementary school students. Hearing their excitement for my art and their activities made my summer. I fear this magic is endangered by the monotony of life, AI, and politics. My goal is to fight for creatives by keeping and innovating traditions. Going to college is just one of these steps, allowing me to not only practice visual arts, but skills of empathy and communication. My father has been one of my biggest supporters, especially with my finances. While he opted to assist with my college payments, he balances a hefty workload, family responsibilities, and being my mother's full time caretaker. I hope to relieve his stress by applying to scholarships.
