FinalistBio
My dream has always been to contribute to society in a meaningful and rewarding way. This is why I actively volunteer in various ways to help underserved communities. By helping aid those in need I hope to create a better environment and life for them. My goal and dream is to have a job where I can continue this path.
I have gathered and donated more than 1000 laptops and Chromebooks to help bridge the technology divide. The devices were distributed to low-income and homeless individuals, schools, and Learn To Be, a nonprofit that provides free one-on-one tutoring to students from families with limited resources.
I am dual-enrolled, pursuing a degree in psychology. In the future, I plan to pursue degrees in public health and policy, digital information systems, and sociology.
Coming from a family and area with limited resources and filled with challenges, I have learned to fully utilize everything.
In all, I have volunteered close to 1,000 hours in just the last two years.
