Hello, my name is Ella Black, I will be a 2026 graduate with hopes of playing college softball. I have won 3 state softball championships with hopes of getting one more! I am very active in my community and school. I carry a 3.8 gpa, active in multiple clubs: Pep Club, photography, Beta Club, Link Crew, Key Club, Toys Club, yearbook. I am also involved in helping my younger siblings youth activities. I was diagnosed with learning disability in first grade called Auditory Process Disorder which came with great difficulties in my younger days, up until 7th grade. I had trouble hearing and understanding what was said with any background noise, it took time to process. I asked for things to be repeated ALOT. This made school and sports very challenging for me. I always had to work extra hard academically and athletically to keep up with my peers. Most did not understand. My schools did provide me with a plan for help and accommodations but some days it was not enough. At times I felt defeated and exhausted. But with my amazing teachers, therapists, and family I have almost overcame this, I still do have some difficulties but not as bad. I hope nobody feels defeated just because they have a disability, I hope it encourages them that they too can succeed.

I am a OF that throws right and bats left. I am really big on team building/bonding and being the best team player.
My plan is to major in Health Administration and play softball if I’m able. My long term goal is 4 year degree with hopes to obtain a management jon position in the healthcare field and gain the deeper knowledge needed to this position. My current life with school, clubs, and softball have inscribed structure in me that I will take to college. Scholarships would help me obtain my goals. It would provide me with necessary financial support to pursue my degree. Additionally it would give me more opportunities to get hands on experience with internships and additional community services that I might not have been able to afford. I also plan to take my educational experience and career experience and help others along the way. I have struggled in my younger days with my auditory process diagnoses, but have successfully succeeded so far with limited set backs. It was not hard but I feel as though it has made me stronger. But again scholarships would alleviate the financial stress for me too
Like mentioned previously I was diagnosed with learning disability in first grade called Auditory Process Disorder which came with great difficulties in my younger days, up until 7th grade. It just may take some time and help, but it’s obtainable because I am one of many living proofs it can be.

The Pursuit of Happiness; you can either take your life where you want to or be stuck complaining. Basically keeping moving towards your goals which for me growing up was to be on the same level as other kids in my class and be treated the same. I was diagnosed with learning disability in first grade called Auditory Process Disorder which came with great difficulties in my younger days, up until 7th grade. I had trouble hearing and understanding what was said with any background noise, it took time to process. Life was a struggle for me. I asked for things to be repeated ALOT. This made school and sports very challenging for me. I always had to work extra hard academically and athletically to keep up with my peers. Most did not understand. So with the movie in mind I was searching for a life of satisfaction to be “normal” while also engaging in activities that support me mentally and morally. My schools did provide me with a plan for help and accommodations but some days it was not enough. At times I felt defeated and exhausted. But with my amazing teachers, therapists, and family I have almost overcame this, I still do have some difficulties but not as bad. This movie teachers it aims for perseverance.
