I am a highly motivated, goal driven, single mother. I am a military veteran who served overseas with a dream of paving a better life for my family. Over the last few years I have suffered from a great deal of loss that gave me a million reasons to give up on my educational goals and at times, just life in general. I pushed past those demons in my head and pushed for my dreams and to better myself. I struggle with post traumatic stress syndrome and ADD, these have made life unbearable at times, especially while raising a baby and not having a single helping hand around. I finally conquered the barriers that were trying to stop me from achieving the things I wanted. I think I would be a great candidate for your scholarship because no matter what gets in my way, I refuse to quit.
