Bio

I am currently a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park, and planning on graduating with a B.A. in Psychology in three years so I can move on to work towards a master's in Occupational therapy and begin practicing! I am very excited to see what the future holds, but focus prominently on working my hardest and enjoyinh life day to day. Aside from my major, I am interested in activism, child development, mindfulness, and well-being! I am an avid Yankees and Giants fan, love meeting new people and learning and experiencing new things! My goals are to one day travel to new nations, where I may practice occupational therapy and eventually be a mother! My biggest inspiration is my mom, who is a first-grade teacher. Being a single parent all my life, she raised my sister and me to stand up for the causes we believe in and empowered us to work towards anything and everything we are passionate about or interested in. As I gain an education, I am also gaining life experiences, new perspectives, and meeting others with different life experiences. Through my college experience, I am simply trying to learn as much as possible, whether it be about life, people, my field of study, or simply about myself! I am a great candidate because any money I receive will be going directly into my private and federal loans. I am extremely thankful that I can receive an education and understand what it means to work hard and overcome adversity. I am also very thankful for opportunities like these that Bold.org sponsors to help make my education and future more feasible!
