My name is Elizabeth Heape (Ellie), and I am a senior at Branchville High School. I am in a Christian youth band called No Other Name, and I am on the varsity volleyball team at Branchville High School. I began taking early college courses in my ninth-grade year. In the fall of 2023, I graduated from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with an Associate of Science degree. Now, I am still taking early college courses at OCTech and actively serving my community through volunteering. I am the Co-Founder of The Jacket's Nest (free personal care supplies for students in need), an Orangeburg Free Health Clinic volunteer(over 50 hours), a Medical University of South Carolina Orangeburg volunteer, a Give Kids the World volunteer, a Higher Ground Basketball league volunteer, a Fields of Faith volunteer, a Camp Edisto volunteer, an Operation Christmas Child volunteer, a Christmas Cookie Project volunteer, a member of a band that played at multiple community festivals and events, and a deliverer of meals to older people in the community. Some of my other accomplishments include being a Phi Theta Kappa honors society member, All-State and All-USA Academic team member, 2024 Palmetto Girls State delegate, Junior Marshall, and Student Leadership University student. At Branchville High School, I am a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Beta Club. I plan to attend a four-year college, followed by medical school, to pursue my dream of helping others through medicine.
