FinalistBio
As a first-year kinesiology student at the University of Virginia (B.S.Ed.) on the pre-med track, I am driven to advance medicine through clinical care, research, and advocacy. I am fueled by my ambition to eventually serve as a Pediatrician (M.D.) specializing in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, or Adolescent Medicine. I am particularly passionate about improving healthcare outcomes for adolescents, youth with complex psychological or medical needs, and those living in high-conflict environments.
Currently, I am focused on building a strong foundation in the health sciences while leveraging my skills in leadership and organization. I am eager to apply my academic learnings to real-world healthcare challenges and contribute to teams that prioritize patient-centered care. I am also currently pursuing my EMT certification.
