I'm Elijah Frost, a senior from Portland, Oregon with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 1570 SAT. I attend Reynolds High School and the Center for Advanced Learning's Medical Careers program, taking AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, and Anatomy & Physiology. I completed two research internships at Oregon Health & Science University. At the Galbraith Lab, I built force-calibrated live-cell assays and developed a Python pipeline for analyzing mechanosensitive channels. At Gibbs Labs, I developed a dual-target SWIR imaging system, coded spectral unmixing algorithms, and authored SOPs adopted by the facility. I founded Generous City, a nonprofit that raised $50K+ in supplies and served 1,000+ people across Portland. I co-founded Rose City Self Defense through the City of Portland, creating self-defense curricula for teen girls and LGBTQIA+ youth, reaching 11,000+ participants. I also founded Medical Gateway, a platform connecting 500+ aspiring med students with physicians. I've volunteered 500+ hours at the Oregon Food Bank and founded my school's HOSA chapter with 50+ members. I'm an exhibited photographer with work shown at UW, Black Box Gallery, and county government buildings. I hold CNA, BLS, and CPR/AED certifications. I plan to study neuroscience and pursue a career as a physician, combining clinical care with research in neurology.
