Hello! I aspire to become a school psychologist and continue impacting children's lives academically, emotionally, and psychologically. I am on the path toward graduate school and hope to earn a Ph.D. in School Psychology.
For the past four years, I have spent my time tutoring children of all ages. I enjoy witnessing children's improvement and development. I am a mentor and role model to these children which fills me with purpose every day. I like to inspire curiosity and interest in the world that encompasses them and always try to connect lessons with real-life scenarios or interesting stories.
Working with these children makes me reflect on how fortunate I was to receive support from teachers. My own family did not understand the educational system nor had the means to provide tutoring if needed. I come from an immigrant family, where finances were always a main topic and issue. From a young age, I understood this, and thus I would go to a community college to continue my higher education. Then I transferred to Johns Hopkins which has been an immense and enriching learning experience. I hope to continue my education and continue impacting the lives of children and their development without financial burdens limiting my path. Thanks to Bold this could certainly be a reality!
