Hello! My name is Ekta and I have been a student at the University of New Mexico since 2019. I completed the Practical Nursing Program at the Career Enrichment Center which allowed me to graduate high school with my nursing license. I have worked in pediatrics and behavioral health facilities primarily. Many of my experiences inspired me to pursue a higher education in Psychology to both provide better care to my patients and fill in the gaps in our health and justice systems so that we provide the most effective and empathetic care possible to some of our most vulnerable populations. I hope to pursue a Master's of Applied Psychology and am in the midst of the applications for this.
