This is due to the fact that clans offer benefits such as one gem donations and raid weekend medals just to name a few. You can use said medals to buy certain items from a certain ingame character named the trader. He offers a wide variety of items to help with the progression with your village. Apart from all these things we learn that there are enemy goblins that want to destroy everyone out of greed. In turn, we the people stand up and fight back and eventually make friends with our enemies. This is a key learning moment for the player as we learn to love each other such as real world events, commonplace in the 1960s. As we further progress with our base we find a lonely man stranded in the middle of the ocean. Our of the love and kindness in our hearts we help the poor old man reconstruct his home.
