During the course, I learned about the importance of having access to an automated external defibrillator (AED) in the event of a cardiac arrest. AEDs are portable devices that can analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to restore a normal rhythm. They are an essential tool in saving the life of someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest. However, I also learned that many public spaces, including high schools, do not have enough AEDs or they are not easily accessible. This sparked an idea in my mind – what if I could create a mobile AED station that could be easily transported to areas in need? I would plan to design and build a mobile AED station that could be easily transported to any location. The station would be equipped with an AED device, as well as other essential medical supplies such as a first aid kit and emergency oxygen. The station would be designed to be weather-resistant, durable, and easily maneuverable. To finance the project, I would need to secure funding from grants, donations, or investors. I would research and apply for grants from organizations that support public health initiatives or emergency preparedness. Additionally, I would launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise money from individuals who are passionate about the cause. Once funding is secured, I would assemble a team of experts to help with the design and construction of the mobile AED station. This team would include engineers, medical professionals, and designers. We would work together to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing design that would be user-friendly for people with varying levels of medical knowledge.
