Bio

I believe I am the person for this scholarship because I live a bold life and am eager to make a difference. I have a passion for aviation and motocross. When I am not racing, I am flying airplanes or playing Bass or keys with my band. I really hope to achieve a career in aviation that would allow me to expand my interest in aviation and explore some of the areas of aviation, engineering, and aerospace. It would be great to be able to fly all over the world whether it's private or commercial, taking people to their destinations and making friends along the way. Currently, I am pursuing my PPL in a Piper Archer with about 61.5 hours of flight time logged. My goal is to have my PPL before I get my driver's license. Recently, I was able to fly a Cessna Skyhawk at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona and go sightseeing from above. I flew over Sedona, Jerome, and near the border of Utah. It was such a great experience and hope to have many more. If given the opportunity, I hope to represent the future of women in aviation and maybe someday hold the title of Captain. Sincerely, Elise Victoria Dailey

I currently have my Private Pilots License, with over 80 hours flight time. I have always been fascinated by the world of aviation. The sheer power and beauty of aircraft never fail to captivate me. For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of soaring through the skies and exploring the world from above. This deep-seated passion for flying has driven me to pursue a career in aviation, where I can further indulge in my love for aircraft and immerse myself in the realms of aviation, engineering, and aerospace. My journey into aviation began at a young age when my mother enrolled me in a discovery flight at the age of 13. From that moment on, I was hooked. The sensation of taking to the skies, the freedom of flight, and the intricate workings of an aircraft fascinated me beyond measure. I knew then that I had found my true calling. This summer we had a house fire. I was awakened to my Dad yelling for me to out of the house. I ran out with only my pjs and standing outside the house watching the firefighters’ dumping loads of water over the burning house. When I realized my aviation bag and logbook was still in the house. My heart sank as I ran over to one of the firefighters and explained that I am a 17-year-old student pilot, and my logbook is still in the house. He immediately ran inside the burning house and to retrieve my flight bag! The house is damaged, and we may be displaced for a while but in the end, we are all okay and I am so eternally grateful for the rescuers and all they did for us. All said I recently was able to obtain my Private Pilot License (PPL). I am so excited and proud to have my PPL and now comes the hard work. As I continue my education and training in aviation, I am excited to witness the world from a whole new perspective. The thought of exploring the globe through flying, whether in private or commercial aviation, fills me with a sense of adventure and purpose. I look forward to connecting people to their destinations, building relationships, and fostering a sense of community through the wonder of flight. I am a fighter, I am strong and I am going to be a great pilot because I will not give up nor let anything get in the way of my dream. In my pursuit of a career in aviation, I am inspired by the countless individuals who have contributed significantly to the field. From visionaries like the Wright brothers, who first achieved powered flight, to innovators like Howard Hughes, whose groundbreaking aircraft designs pushed the boundaries of aviation, each figure has left an indelible mark on the industry. Their passion, ingenuity, and unwavering dedication serve as a constant source of motivation for me as I strive to make my own mark in the world of aviation. As I look towards the future, I am optimistic about the endless possibilities that await in the world of aviation. With a passion for aircraft, a thirst for knowledge, and a drive to succeed, I am confident that I can navigate the skies and make a meaningful impact in the field. By pursuing a career in aviation, I hope to not only honor the legacy of aviation pioneers but also inspire a new generation of enthusiasts to pursue their dreams and soar to new heights.

As a kid I would love to see the airplanes fly over and be amazed by its size, the various types. I would imagine how awesome it would be to fly an airplane. I really hope to achieve a career in aviation that would allow me to expand my interest in aviation and explore some of the areas of aviation, engineering, and aerospace. It would be great to be able to fly all over the world whether its private or commercial, taking people to their destinations and making friends along the way. Currently, I am pursuing my private and instrumental certifications with about 18 hours of flight time logged. My goal is to have my certifications before I am even able to drive. Recently, during one of my lessons, I was able to fly from my destination airport in Robbinsville, New Jersey, to over the Hudson River in New York and around the Statue of Liberty. I was able to loop around the majestic Lady Liberty three times before heading back. It was such a great experience and hope to have many more. If given the opportunity, I hope to represent the future of women in aviation and maybe someday hold the title of Captain.

As a kid I would love to see the airplanes fly over and be amazed by its size, the various types. I would imagine how awesome it would be to fly an airplane. There were times I would ask my parents if we could go by the airport to watch the planes take off. I often wished we could go onboard the plane and fly anywhere. Mom would tell me that we needed to get a ticket to fly. Then one day, I remember driving in the car with my Dad on the New Jersey Turnpike and telling him to speed up as we drove by the Newark International Airport. "Drive really fast Dad", I said. He asked me why and I responded with "I want you to get a ticket so that we can fly on the airplane". Not that he speed much. He would say when driving that; we don't want to speed because we could get a ticket. To which I interpreted as a way to get that ticket, so that I can get on that plane. All I wanted at that moment was to fly on that airplane. I believe it was then when my fascination with aircrafts and aviation started. That summer afternoon, driving with windows down along side the airport runway and seeing all of the airplanes coming and going overhead. I really hope to achieve a career in aviation that would allow me to expand my interest in aviation and explore some of the areas of aviation, engineering and aerospace. Sincerely, Elise Victoria Dailey
