My goals in life really consist of a few things, getting closer to God, being financially stable when I get older, buy my parents a house or pay their cars off, and just be happy. I'm most passionate about sports, I have played football since third grade and soccer since sixth, so sports are a big part of who I am.

WinnerHello, my name is Dylan Tyler, and I have attended Long County High School for four years. During those four years, I participated in their football and soccer teams. I played football for all four years here at Long County, and they were some of the best years of my life. I wish I could get them back, from all the friends I made along the way to the huge plays I made in big games. In my senior season of football, I was challenged by my shoulder injury from last year. I went for a tackle in week two of the season, and my arm was at a bad angle, resulting in me re-injuring my shoulder. But I bounced back and earned Region 3-AAA first team all defense. I also participated in the boys' soccer team for all four years. When I first made the team my freshman year, all I was used for was throw-ins on varsity until my junior year, when I started defense for varsity. The growth I experienced was immense. As long as the growth skillfully, I grew as a leader. During this most recent season, I was one of the three captains who led practices and warmups.
My Goals for the future consist of attending and graduating from Valdosta State University, majoring in exercise physiology, and using that degree to get a job as an athletic trainer. College is an experience I have been looking forward to; it is a little frightening to think about. I will be on my own for the first time with no help from my parents or teachers to remind me that I have assignments due in a couple of days. Also, another goal I have is to keep my GPA high enough throughout college to maintain my Hope Scholarship, which means no slacking on work.
I believe this scholarship will help me significantly, as of right now, I have no money to pay for the first semester, because my GI Bill hasn't kicked in yet; this scholarship could put a dent in the money I have to pay. This scholarship can also help me help other people. In the long run, too, this scholarship could keep me out of debt from student loans when I graduate from college, so all my focus can go to helping people who have been hurt in sports-related injuries or helping at a school as an athletic trainer for the athletes.
All in all, this scholarship would help me with my future goals. I also want to say thank you for your time and consideration for reading this essay for your scholarship.
