Throughout my time at the University of Washington, I have had the privilege of participating in lab research and community service. I had unique opportunities to work in education as a volunteer STEM tutor and Dream Project Intern. As a first person to attend college in the US, I love supporting other first-generation students to get the resources they need to succeed in High School and beyond. After getting my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, I am currently working as a clinical research coordinator, where I support efforts to increase research participation among communities historically marginalized in research, so that these families are included in the decision-making process of improving care for their families. My future goal is to work with underrepresented and low-income communities as a Pediatrician. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with family and reading books!
