I'm Dorothy Stevens, and I aim to spread light through my writing. My journey began with my love for reading, which became one of my favorite pastimes. It provided an escape from reality when I needed it most and helped develop the imagination that I often got lost in. In fourth grade, I met two of my best friends who encouraged me to start writing down the ideas that spewed from my overactive imagination. Since then, writing has become one of my most cherished hobbies, and I hope to turn it into a career. I want to give people an escape from their reality, just as I once found in the books I read. My goal is for my writing to make readers feel better about themselves through characters they can connect to, and feel as though the book was written just for them. I want my books to convey warmth and positivity so that everyone who reads them feels that sense of love. As cliche as it sounds, I want to change the world one book at a time.
