I read books multiple times a week.

I read books multiple times a week.
History is like a river- fast, strong, and ever-changing. I fell in love with history long ago, and it has rooted into the foundations of who I am. The long-gone societies and forgotten cities are carried with me each day, something that itches my brain and causes longing in my heart. I want nothing more than to be able to be familiar with the past. The ancient civilizations of long ago welcome me into their thresholds, and each page of history text I study makes me ponder more and more what their lives would be like. As I study at Liberty University, I plan to get more familiar with the past and geography that accompanies it. In the future, I plan on implementing this knowledge in the classrooms I teach. Someday I long for a teaching certificate, to share these lessons of history bestowed upon me. The past is something the present and future will always benefit from; whether that be to follow in footsteps or to turn the other way from our predecessors. Each student I will teach in the future will have the same love of history as I, as the love for the past bursts out of me at the seems. I am eager to teach in the future, and until then, bask in all a history degree has to offer me.
