I have a big interest in anything to do with racing or high-performance cars. Currently, I am studying mechanical engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology while working on the Formula SAE design team as the teams manufacturing lead. I have fabricating and welding the racecar chassis while teaching new members the process of fabricating a racecar chassis. In addition, I have also learned various CAD software, and have completed personal projects such as building my own go-kart from the ground up. I am immensely interested in high-performance cars and would be thrilled to have a chance to work for a racing team or a performance car manufacturer.

Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by how things work, especially anything with wheels. During the COVID-19 pandemic, that curiosity became a driving force when I built a go-kart from scratch. With limited resources, I taught myself how to design, construct, and assemble the entire vehicle in my garage. The process opened my eyes to the complexities of automotive engineering and sparked a passion that has shaped my career goals ever since.
Pursuing a career in the automotive industry felt like the natural next step after that first experience. When I enrolled at Missouri University of Science and Technology, I immediately joined the Missouri S&T Formula SAE team. Being part of a student-led motorsports team allowed me to gain hands-on experience with automotive design, manufacturing, and engineering. I was especially drawn to the manufacturing process and quickly found myself specializing in chassis fabrication.
Manufacturing the chassis introduced me to advanced processes like welding, machining, and composite fabrication. I learned how to turn design concepts into physical components while ensuring quality and structural integrity. As my skills developed, I earned the role of Manufacturing Lead, where I now oversee the production of major vehicle components and manage a team of engineers. This leadership role has strengthened my technical knowledge while teaching me critical project management and teamwork skills — essential qualities for success in the automotive field.
Looking ahead, I am determined to build a career in motorsports engineering. I plan to deepen my expertise in vehicle dynamics, suspension systems, and performance optimization. Working with cutting-edge automotive technology in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment like Formula 1 is my ultimate career goal. I am driven by the challenge of pushing the limits of vehicle performance through innovative engineering and precision manufacturing.
Achieving this goal will require continuous learning, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of both design and manufacturing processes. My time with Formula SAE has given me an invaluable foundation, but I am eager to explore more advanced vehicle systems and technologies. I want to be at the forefront of automotive innovation, helping create the next generation of high-performance and sustainable race cars.
What began as a home-built go-kart has evolved into a clear and ambitious career path. I see myself contributing to a top-tier motorsports team where engineering excellence meets competitive performance. Receiving this scholarship would help me continue my education, gain critical experience, and take one step closer to making that career a reality.
