Bio
I plan on going to college and becoming a person who can help out others in need. I'm most passionate about self care, personal growth. I think it's more than okay to put ourselves first sometimes. I'm not the best candidate but what makes me a great one is the fact that I am willing to sacrifice and work hard for what I want in this life.

My entire life I've always been asked this question, "What career are you planning on pursuing after you graduate high school". Every time I was asked this, I never knew how to answer because honestly I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. Although I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, what I did know was that I wanted to do a career that would allow me to help people and bring joy to others. An interesting fact about me is that I enjoy putting a smile on people's face, I enjoy helping people in the best possible way that I can, I enjoy being a part of something that makes a difference. Currently I am a high school student who is very committed to school and further education, but I wasn't always focused in school. During the time before covid-19 I wasn't worried about school, in other words I didn't care about it enough to try because I didn't know what I wanted to become. Quarantine happened and it gave me a very big reality check and the time I spent isolating and truly finding myself showed me that what I truly wanted to become is a nurse. I would see my mother willing to sacrifice her life to work at the hospital working hours with severely sick patients. My mother being the brave, committed woman she is made me realize that maybe this is my calling. I would see nurses on social media talking about how very unsafe it is for them to come in close contact of people who have been affected by covid-19, but they were willing to sacrifice their lives if it meant they could make a change in the world somehow. That made me realize that if I had the opportunity to help out in the best way that I can, then I would. Becoming a nurse will allow me to pursue my calling, and that is helping people who are in need. In my future career as a nurse I hope to make a significant difference in people's lives, I hope that I can give people the hope they need, I hope that I can bring positivity to a patient's life even though they may be dealing with something. I didn't know Cindy but what I do know is that she must've been an amazing nurse. Cindy was someone who showed true care to her patients and wanted to make a difference in other's lives. I hope that just as Cindy, I can channel the love I have of helping others in need for people apart of my community.
