Let Your Light Shine Scholarship
Ever since I was a kid, I would always admire my father, for creating his own business from the ground up, and I knew from the moment I realized it - I wasn't going to want to work for someone else. I wanted to work for myself. I want to create a legacy not socially, but personally. I want to create a family legacy for myself, a legacy that my family can be proud of, not just me. In the future, I still plan on building my legacy from the ground up just like my father by enjoying life, since I believe to build a legacy and to make yourself known to others, you must satisfy, and impress yourself before you go out to impress others. I need to be proud of myself before I can publicly be proud of myself.
In the future, I plan on creating a auto repair company, because in the real world, I have noticed how dependent we are on cars. To the store, to school, to work, no matter where are we going, a car is needed. In creating an auto repair company, I plan on taking advantage of that willingness to fix someone's car if it is broken, or if they need a maintenance check on it, because a car is considerably needed to live in today's society.
I try to think of ways to capture a customer's needs and wants not from a financial perspective, but from a moral perspective. In a moral perspective, you try to take into consideration what other people are in need of, and I try to do something to fix that, but in a financial perspective, entrepreneurs don't care about what people think, they only care if they are making a profit out of it.
I don't care if what I do might make me lose a little bit of money, but also at the end of the day, the point of a company is to make a profit, but I will take that extra step to make sure my customers are satisfies to the fullest, and that is my exact strategy to shine in my light; to care for others rather than just caring about myself says a lot about someone, and I plan on taking that moral route, and to show people that I won't attempt to reap as much benefits as I can from the, but rather make sure my customers are wanting to come back. I believe that through this, I will be able to make a name for myself, and be able to recognize myself in a pure light, before making others proud, just like the father I admired.
Scorenavigator Financial Literacy Scholarship
I would define my personal experience in finances and financial education as a second instinct. I strive to learn more and more about finances and grow my financial knowledge to benefit me in the future, and use those financial lessons learned from official financial teachers to surround my life in how money flows.
I have been interested in finances ever since I was a kid, seeing my dad do his taxes, and see how his money goes in and out of his bank accounts. Ever since then, I have devoted my time to studying the flows of money, how the stock market works, how interest and debt works, and everything else money-related. The concept of how money works has always sparked my interest, and although I do not plan to make it a career, I strive to use my financial knowledge in the future to steer interest and debt towards an advantage rather than something that I have to deal with, or work around like as if I'm constantly on thin ice. In my Business and Finance class, my teacher has praised me for my financial literacy, and how easily I flow through the assignments, whether it be about taxes, houses, budgeting, I always manage to shine to my teacher out of the whole class.
Something I dream of accomplishing with my knowledge in finances is to invest into real estate, and make profit purely out of the tenants I rent those houses out to. I believe that if I put enough work into those houses, the work will be worth it, and I will be able to make a huge profit out of those real estate assets, and invest those funds into greater properties, and grow from there. Although real estate is risky since the economy for housing is a very volatile environment, I have always wanted to take that risk and own multiple properties. Another goal I want to accomplish in the future with my knowledge in finances is to have a great net worth out of stock assets, since I believe it isn't that hard to understand how the stock market works, and that if manipulated correctly,. then one will be able to reap huge rewards off of taking that risk.
Finances has exposed me to the endless possibilities of how I can shift having to revolve around money, to making money revolve around me, and I plan to take advantage of those opportunities to assist me through my college education, and my future career.
Hank Anderson Memorial Scholarship
My passion for automotives and mechanical work begun ever since I was a kid, admiring my dad's work as a mechanic, and his business in the automobile industry. His knowledge of automobiles amazed me, and I strived to be just like him. In school, I would always try to include myself in FFA projects that was concerning the likes of automotives, automobiles, and anything that has gears shifting, pistons moving, and belts turning. I've had the privilege to assist my father with many projects such as switching transmissions changing tires, changing oil, and doing various maintenance repairs on vehicles. This assisting with my dad further fueled my passion for automobiles, as I scheduled into an Agricultural Engineering class in my junior year, where I was awarded Top Student, by performing the best in my class by having the best engineering projects in the class, and have been performing very well in my Welding class, maintaining a 100% in the class. The works of metals and welding of metals have continuously amazed me throughout my life, and I aspire to work with these automobiles in my future, as I believe that working with vehicles and anything that has to do with machines has been my calling since I was a child. Another major inspiration for my strong passion and powerful strive to work with vehicles was my uncle. When I was a kid, I would always see him working on his car, getting his hands dirty, and I thought that was so cool to do, so I started helping him with various projects on his car, like changing his sparkplugs, even helping replace his 4 cylinder engine to a twin turbo V8 engine. That was the most satisfying experience of my exposure to the mechanical world, seeing everything fit where it should, move how they should, and just see our work in action. I aspire to have my own project vehicle, where I can work on it however I want, and put anything I want in it, and build my dream car, which isn't a specific model or make, but my dream car is to be any car I built myself, from the ground up because having my own work surpass industrial and artificial work is my dream, and to surround myself with my own work. The art of automotives has been my calling, and will be my calling for the many many years to come.
