With the learning disability I have, I've had to learn at a slower speed then a "normal"person but the time frame to get the information understood as everyone else has been the same. Does it make it harder for me? Yes, but I also feel that having a learning disability can also be a good thing because I've learned that I look at and understand things differently. Meaning the way that you look at something and the way I look at something is 2 or more different ways.

I had a bad childhood, due to guy friends of my mom my childhood was taken from the young age of 5. I was raped from 5 to 15 from 3 different guy friends of my mothers. And since then being able to open up has been extremely hard. Being an artist (writer) for me is a chance to express myself when the verbal word just can't say what I want to say. I've always loved writing and the ways that are out there to be decorative with them. I have officially published a book (Introducing Me) it talks about my experiences of being raped, and some of the more recent abuse as well. It expresses in deep detail what I have yet to be open up to tell anyone for years. I feel that with the artistry of my writing I can help let others know that when they are raped they are not alone. I know from what I have been told the people that knew me when it was going on said they never seen the signs. I guess I played it off well. Writing is my passion and I am not stopping now
