I am most familiar with the proverb "Me and you against the world" thanks to my mother. It is never simple for an African American child to grow up in a low-income area. Regrettably, you grow accustomed to the strange glances, opinions, and rumors that people may have about you or your family. Since I can remember, my father has never been around, leaving me without a father and my mother having to work very hard for my success. Even wearing outdated clothing or shoes to school has an impact on a child's mental health. While you're being judged, all you want is to get better so you can disprove everyone. Because of what she couldn't provide for me, I would frequently hear my mother sobbing to herself at night. Despite everything that was going on around us, my mother did an excellent job raising me on her own, so I've never once held her responsible. I do hold my father accountable for his absence, as without assistance, my mother wouldn't have been forced to work many jobs at minimum money. Since my mother is the strongest and bravest woman I know, I never want her to feel like I'm ashamed of her. I detest seeing her angry, and when my work succeeds, all I want to do is shower her with love. I promised her the most incredible life with no more stress, and I am confident that it will happen. Everyone appeared to think differently about how my life turned out so I made the decision to disprove them. With whatever I do, I constantly aim to be the best. Scholarships would play a major role in both my life and the life of my mother. My greatest concern when it comes to paying for college is going into debt, but I know it would be worthwhile if I could find a great job to pay it all off. An author's career is my ideal career. I intend to enroll in a college in New York with a top-notch writing program and secure an internship that will launch my career. At first, I decided to apply for Nursing but my heart wasn’t with that idea. I never wanted to be a Nurse but I knew that the pay for that occupation was lovely. Fortunately my mom always taught me one thing: If you follow your passion, success will follow. She gives me the most motivation anyone alive could ever give. My mom is a superhero to me because she never gave up on me. Only two months remain before I graduate from high school as a senior and collect my well-earned diploma. Middle school wasn't easy, but high school was ten times harder. I figured out how to stay away from all of it and develop into my greatest self. I knew anything was possible since my mother is the best support system there is. I am aware that many children with incredible tales would also be eligible for this prize, and I am also aware that many will be deserving of it. Although my narrative may not be as moving as some others, I am certain that I deserve this honor. Never mind my life; my mother would be so happy and appreciative for this. I'd do anything in the world to make it happen. I sincerely hope that the perception of low-income families changes as a result of my story. I'm very grateful that you gave my essay any thought.
