I recently graduated from undergraduate at the College of Saint Rose and I am currently seeking a Master’s degree at Iona College in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I am a first generation college student which comes with its challenges but I have always been passionate about my education. I am also very passionate about Psychology which I was introduced to when I was a junior in high school. I decided to specialize in Industrial organization side of Psychology because I love working with people and would love to work closely with big companies.

What makes me happy is knowing that people I care about is okay. I’ve lost a lot of people in the past and take care of my sick mother. You never know what can happen and knowing the people I care about is okay and in good health, I’m happy. What also makes me happy is the stuff I’ve accomplished. I am the first person in my family to graduate college and be accepted for a masters program. Knowing that I am doing this while facing poverty makes me happy because I know that where there is adversity, there is beauty. Another thing that makes me happy is the little things. For example, when my mom sneezes because she has the cutest sneeze or when my dogs lays on my lap. The small things are always the most important because they hold a lot of meaning in them. If we find beauty in the little things, we can appreciate the big picture more.
