Bio

Hello! My name is Despoina and I am a person that is passionate about school and or learning in general. I love to learn anything I can at any given time. The fields of study that spark my interest the most include economics, finance, policy, sustainability science, the environment, and how all of these aspects tie in together. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, drawing, dancing, reading, strengthening with my faith, running, and spending time with friends and family. Attending college is truly a dream that I plan to make a reality, working towards helping the sustainability of the Earth and its people in the future. I am looking forward to pursuing my education further every single day! Throughout my high school career, I have been extremely involved throughout my various passions including president of student council and Model United Nations for four years, Math Team Captain for one year, and co-president as well as co-founder of the Juniper Outreach club branch. In addition to this, I have held many leadership positions within the school leadership group, annual OXFAM Banquet organizer, Boston College Young Leaders as an ambassador, and in my Orthodox Church's Youth group. In terms of STEM projects and research, I have conducted three independent environmental research projects presented to STEM Fair competitions using a high school lab revolving around electrical and mechanical engineering as well as marketing, cost, and investment plan research. I truly love the communities I am involved in as I always strive to provide healthy, balanced, and driven environments.
